<br /> and one manhole in a section of the 2100 block on Grand Avenue. On
<br /> motion of Councilman Larsen, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br /> Attorney was instructed to prepare a Resolution for the abandonment,
<br /> if and when it has the approval of the Planning Commission.

<br /> On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br /> communication from the Shoreline Planning Association of California,
<br /> Inc., reference oil royalty revenue fund established for acquisition
<br /> of both beaches and inland park sit~s and requesting preparation of a
<br /> Resolution, so that ~he To~linson Committee report will be fortified
<br /> with testim6ny favorable to the provisions of Public ResoUrces Code,
<br />
<br /> Section 6816, was received and filed.

<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br />Minutes of the Executive Committee of the Joint ~utfall Sewer, held
<br />at Anaheim, January 26th and February Sth, 1955, were received and
<br />filed.

<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br />notifications of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage
<br />applications made by John R. Drenttel, ~03 West Fourth Street, and
<br />Harry Y. aud Midori M. Marumo~o, 1820 Wes~ Firs~ Street, were receive,

<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, the

<br />Notice of Appeal of Boyd Allen Hershey to the District Court of Appea~

<br />dated February 15th, 1954, was referred to the Attorney.

<br />On motion of Councilman Larsen, seconded by ~erome and carried, the
<br />specifications were approved and Clerk authorized to advertise for
<br />bids for the Furnishing of forty Fire Alarm Boxes and twenty-five Fire
<br />Alarm Box Pedestals; bids to be opened March 15th, 1954.

<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the
<br />report of the Orange County Mosquito Abatement District activities for
<br />
<br />the month of January, 1955, wa~ received and filed.

<br />On motion 'of Councilman ~erome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the
<br />request of Mrs. Daphne Beeman, 1303 South Main Street, for a limited
<br />parking zone of approximately one hundred feet on the south side of
<br />East Oxford Street adjacent to her property, was referred to the curb
<br />usage committee for report.

<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the
<br />reGuest of the Izaak Walton League of America, Inc., to place ten
<br />trash barrels in appropriate outlying r~sidential locations, was
<br />referred to the Director of Public Works with power to act.
