RESOLUTION 70-61 AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF REAL <br />PROPERTY FOR THE WIDENING AND IMPROVEMENT OF FIRST <br />STREET BETWEEN BAKER AND BIRCH STREETS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, portions of First Street as they now exist within <br />the city of Santa Ana are inadequate in width to accommodate the <br />increased flow of east-west traffic and it has become necessary <br />to widen and improve those portions of said street; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; That the city Council of <br />the city of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that the public <br />interest and necessity require that First Street be widened and <br />improved between Baker and Birch Streets to accommodate the <br />increased flow of east-west traffic and further require that said <br />city do have, take, and acquire for street purposes that certain <br />real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State <br />of California, described as follows: <br /> <br />PARCEL 1: <br /> <br />Lot 9 in Block 5 of "Baldwin's Addition to the Town <br />of Santa Ana", in the city of Santa Ana, as shown on <br />a map recorded in Book 29, Page 74 of Miscellaneous <br />Records of Los Angeles County, california. <br /> <br />PARCEL 2: <br /> <br />Lots 10 and 11 in Block 5 of "Baldwin's Addition to <br />the Town of Santa Ana," in the City of Santa Ana, as <br />shown on a map recorded in Book 29, Page 74 of <br />Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, california. <br />EXCEPT the East 40.9 feet of said Lot 11. <br /> <br />PARCEL 3: <br /> <br />Lot 3 in Block 1 of Crane's Subdivision of Blocks 1 and <br />2 of Salisbury's Addition to Santa Ana, in the City of <br />Santa Ana, as shown on a map recorded in Book 1, Page <br />50 of Miscellaneous Record Maps, records of Orange <br />County, California. <br /> <br />PARCEL 4: <br /> <br />The Southerly 40 feet of Lot 4 and of Lot 5 in B~ock 1 of <br />Crane's Subdivision of Blocks 1 and 2 of Salisbury's <br />Addition to Santa Ana, in the City of Santa Ana, as <br />shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 1, Page 50, of <br />Miscellaneous Record Maps, records of said Orange County. <br /> <br />PARCEL 5: <br /> <br />Lot 7 in Block B of Hutchin's Subdivision, in the City <br />of Santa Ana, as shown on a map recorded in Book 3, <br />Page 18 of Miscellaneous M~ps, records of Orange County, <br />california. <br /> <br />PARCEL 6: <br /> <br />The West 37 feet of Lot 11 and the East 6 1/2 feet of <br />lot 10 in Block "B" of "Hutchins subdivision", in the <br />City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map recorded in Book <br />3, Page 18 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange <br />County, california. <br /> <br />PARCEL 7: <br /> <br />Lot 12 and the East 13 feet of Lot 11, Block B of <br />Hutchin's Subdivision, in the city of Santa Ana, as <br />shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 3, Page 18, <br />Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange County. <br /> <br />- 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
