Bennett <br />(E. ]st St.) <br /> <br />17th Street, containing 31 lots was approved subject to the recommend- <br />ation of ~he Manager and Acting Director of ~ublio Works th~$ 50 foot <br />widths be established on 14th and 15th stre®ts and all eucalyptus trees <br /> <br />in the Tract be removed. <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of 0ouncilman Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, <br />Tentative Map of Tract No. 2323 of F. & P. Construction Company, on <br />property northeast~ of the inter~ection of Raitt and Willits Streets, <br />containing 43 lots, was approved in conformance with recommendations <br />of the Planning Commission with the modification that~requirements for <br />alleys be waived only for the area between Raitt and A~tesia Streets. <br />Communication was read from the Chairman, Swimming Pool Committee, <br />recommending that C.P.L. Nieholls be retained as a consultant in the <br />design and construction of the swimming pool and that the office of <br />Harold Gimeno, A~ohltect, be retained for the purpose of preparing the <br />plans, specifications and designs of the swimming pool and the accom- <br />panying dressing facilities. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded <br />by Larsen and carried, the communication was received and filed. On <br />motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, proper <br />officials were authorized to enter into an agreement with Harold Gimeno. <br />It was moved by Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, that <br />C.P.L. Nicholls be retained as Consultant to work with the office of <br />Harold Gimeno, on behalf cf the City, at a fee of one-half of one per- <br />cent of the cost of the project; agreement ordered prepared and prope~ <br /> <br />officials authorized to execute the same. <br /># <br />It was moved by Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, that <br /> <br />escrow instructions be approved and signed for property on East First <br />Street and warrants issued covering the costs as follows~ <br /> <br />Central Labor Council Building and <br />Rehabilitation Association <br />Charles A~thur Bennett <br />Charles Arthur Bennett <br />Nelade R. and Rachel Gabriel <br /> <br />$875.00 <br /> 868.00 <br /> 660.00 <br /> 0.00 <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on <br /> <br />motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the follow- <br /> <br />lng Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 54-158 accepting grant deed <br />for property for street purposes" <br /> <br />from Charles Arthur Bennett, was considered and passed by the following <br /> <br />vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br /> Noes, Councilmen <br /> Absent, Councilmen <br /># <br /> <br />William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br />Thomas F.
