<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution,
<br />on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the
<br />
<br />following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br />"Resolution No. 54-178 concerning parking limitations
<br />and curb markings in accordance therewith"
<br />
<br />establishing a twenty-four minute zone on the west side of North Towner
<br />
<br />Street, north of 17th Street, in accordance with request of George
<br />Morton, was considered and passed by the following vote:

<br />Preliminary Mnp submitted by Emmet C. Rogers, showing a subdivision of
<br />portion of Lot 6 of the E~.tes Tract, consisting of three lots situated
<br />at future 22nd Street and Bristol Street, subdivision bond in the sum
<br />of $4,0o0.00 and communication from Planning Department stating the
<br />Department of Public Works made no recommendations were presented.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the
<br />preliminary Map and bond were approved, subject to signing of agree-
<br />ment covering improvements.
<br />
<br />Communication was read from the City of Tustin advising that a public
<br />hearing will be held at ?:00 P.M. November 22nd, 1954, for the purpose
<br />of hearing protests of property owners within the area proposed to be
<br />annexed to the City, located at the intersection of the center lines of
<br />"E" Street and Third Street and described as Lot A, Tract No. 555.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the
<br />communication was received, filed and Clerk instructed to notify the
<br />City of Tustin that the City of Santa Ana has no objections to the
<br />proposed annexation.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Lateen and carried, the
<br />request of Leslie E. Powell for permission to add up to ten additional
<br />taxicabs and change the name of the Company to "Mellow Cab Company of
<br />Santa Ana", was granted.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, the
<br />communication from American Municipal Association, Washington, D.C.,
<br />advising that th~ Association will hold its 31st annual American
<br />Municipal Congress in Philadelphia, November 28th to December let, 1954
<br />and requesting that one or more representatives be sent to the
<br />Conference was referred to the Manager for recommendation.
