Sycamore between <br />Edinger and Pomona <br />J.A.Fit zgerald <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Southern California <br />Edison Company <br /> <br />J. Clemons, on behalf of the Church of the Messiah stated the Church <br />would not be benefitted by the Parking District and should not be <br />assessed. Attorney Walter Steiner, on behalf of First Congregational <br />Church stated his reasons why the Church should be excluded from the <br />District. W. Harold Finley, representing the United Presbyterian <br />Church requested information as to amount of the parking charges on <br />Sundays which question was satisfactorily answered. On motion of <br />Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the communications <br />and petitions were received and filed. The hearing was declared <br />closed. It was moved by Councilman Larsen, seconded by McBride, <br />that all Church properties within Parking District No. 1 be excluded <br /> <br />from the Parking District. <br /> <br />Roll Call Ayes, Councilmen <br /> Noes, Councilmen <br /> <br /> Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, <br /> <br />J.L.McBride, Thomas F. Larsen <br />William Jerome, Milford W. Dahl, <br />Courtney R. Chandler <br />None <br /> Motion lost. <br /> <br />seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br /> <br /> Attorney was instructed to prepare the Ordinance to proceed with the <br /> formation of the Distric$. It was moved by Councilman Dahl, seconde~ <br /> by Jerome and carried, the Council find~ that neither the owners of <br /> 50% of the area of property to be assessed nor 50% of the assessed <br /> value, within said district, have protested and that the estimated <br /> assessments added to totals of existing unpaid assessments will not <br /> exceed in total amount one-half of the true value of all lands pro- <br /> posed to ~e assessed. <br /> <br /> This being ~he date set~ for hearing on the amendment application of <br /> Genevieve DeSut~er, no protests were received against the reclass- <br /> ification of a 40.03 acre parcel of property located on the south side <br /> of Dyer Road between Harbor Road and Newport Boulevard, from the R-1 <br /> to the M-2 District. On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by <br /> Dahl and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Article IX of She Santa Ana <br /> Municipal Code creating changes in district <br /> boundaries and adding Sheet No. 49 of the District- <br /> ing Map to show the reclassification" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date sss for hearing on the amendment application of ~ <br />J.A.Fitzgerald, no prot. ests were received against the reclassification <br />of property on the east side of South Sycamore Street between Edlnger <br />and Pomona Streets, consisting of Lots 33 to 47 inclusive, Block A, <br />Tract No. 531, from the R-2 to C-2 District. On motion of Councilman <br />Larsen, seconded by Jerome and carried, the following Ordinance <br />entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ana <br /> Municipal Code creating changes in district <br /> boundaries and amending Sheet No. 31 of the District- <br /> ing Map to show the reclassification" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />Zt was moved by Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, that <br />the Variance Applica$ion of Southern California Edison Company, filed <br />with the Planning Commission on October 13, 1954 and approved by the <br /> <br /> <br />
