<br /> Utilities Commission, for a certificate of public convenience and
<br /> necessity to operate a route between Santa Ana and the Douglas Air-
<br /> craft plant, was received and filed.

<br /> Marl. on Bamburg, Helen Peck, Robert J. Smith, Walt E. Martin, Patricia
<br /> L. Miller, D~ayne K. Miller, William J. Honeycutt, Paul W. Zsldisin,
<br /> Kenneth Ken. dali, George G. Gray, Earl Schultz, Louis N. Basile, Jr.,
<br /> and G~s Deason, were received, filed and granted.

<br /> On motion cf Councilman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried, the
<br /> nQtifications of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control of
<br /> applications of Albert C. Guti.errez, Tiburcio Bilbao, and Mil-Ed, Inc.

<br /> Communication was read from Dy. Nell Halpin, 1326 West Fifth Street,

<br /> requesting that th~'ee green zones be established in front cf his place
<br /> of business. On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Heinly and
<br /> carried, the rec~es~ was gl'anted to establish one ~een .zone.

<br /> William Acker, operator cf the Associated Ambulance Service, and on
<br /> behalf Of Nel~ga~ Ambulance Sewice, appeared before the Council reques
<br /> lng that an Ordinance be adopted regulating the services, rates and
<br /> the number ef ambulances to be operated in the City and referred to
<br /> the Ordinance adopted by the City of Pomona. On motion of Councilman
<br /> Heinly, seconded by Narkel and carried, the Attorney was instructed to
<br /> investigate the matter and prepa~,e an Ordinance governing ambulance
<br />
<br /> regulations.

<br /> On recommendation of the committee sa~d on motion of Councilman Jerom,
<br /> seconded by Heinly and carried, the request of twenty-three persons
<br /> that a ~chool crossing be established and a crossing guard stationed
<br /> at South Bristol and West St. Gertrude Streets, was granted for a
<br />
<br />· crossing guard and the request denied for a school crossing.

<br /> On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Jerome
<br /> seconded by Heinly and carried, the request of Mrs. Lewis Schaffert
<br /> that a two-way, or four-way boulevard stop sign be placed at' the corn,
<br />
<br /> of Tenth and Patton Streets, was denied.

<br />· On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Heinly
<br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the request of seven property owners
<br />for the extension of two-hottv parking limitations in the 200 block
<br />South Birch. Street, was denied.
<br />
<br /> On recommendation of the oommlttee and on motion of Councilman Heinly
<br /> seconded by Jerome and carried, the request of Ruth Pritchard, 1605
<br /> North SycaMore Street, that a two-hour parking limitation be estab-
<br /> lished in front of the property, was denied.
