Chandler <br />Noes, CounciLmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen William Jero~le <br /> <br />Emmett Rogers ~r~l~y requested the elimination of the use of Santiago Creek fro~ <br /> <br />Bristol Street east as a horse trail and on motion of Council ~an Dahl, seconded by <br /> <br />Eeinly and carried, the Administrative staff was directed to repost the area on <br /> <br />Santiago Creek prohibiting the use of the trail by horse-back riders. <br /> <br />Communication was read from D and E Corporation advising that all street improvemen~ <br />are completed in Tract No. 2325 located at Bristol street and Fairview Avenue, with <br />the exception of 127 lineal feet of the alley adjacent to the west of Lots 2~q, 23 <br />and 24, and requesting permission to post a separate bond in the sum of $600.00 <br />guaranteeing the improvement of this portion of the alley within a one year period. <br />On motion of Councilman D~hl~ seconded by Markel and carried, permission was granted <br />to post a separate bond in the sore of $600.00 guaranteeing the improvement of this <br /> <br />portion of the alley within a one year period, and completed improvements accepted. <br /> <br />On motion of Council~n Reialy, seconded by Markel and carried, the matter of the <br /> <br />abandonment of that portion of Harbor Road extending into the property owned by <br /> <br />Byron-Jackson Company was referred to the Planning Co-,,~ssion for recommendation. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Department of Public Works advising that improvement <br /> <br />within Tract No. 1705 have been completed and on motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded <br />by Dahl and carried, bond filed by Donald A. Schroeder, in the sum of $6,~00.00 was <br /> <br />o, rdered released and improvements accepted as completed. . lil <br />Communication was read frc~ the Department of Public Works advising that improvement <br /> <br />within Tract No. 2523 have been completed and on motion of Couneilman Dahl, seconded <br /> <br />by Heinly and carried, bond filed by Rmm~t C. Rogers, in the sum of $15,500.00 was <br /> <br />ordered released and improvements accepted as completed. <br /> <br />On motion of Counc~]m~n Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, communications dated <br /> <br />April 4, 1956,together with Resolutions Nos. 1356 and 1360 from the City of Orange <br />advising of proposed annexation of certain real properties,w~re received and filed. <br />Communication was read from the Boundary Co~m~ ssion advising of proposed annexation <br />of territory to the City of Orange, Annexation No. 79, of properties ~orth and east <br />of the City of Santa Ana, and on motion of Coancjlm~n Heinly, seconded by Dahl and <br />carried, a communication was ordered directed to the Boun~awy Commission protesting <br /> <br /> annexation by reason of Section 35134 of the Government Code State of California. <br />On motion of Coumc~lman D~, seconded by Hemnly and carrmed, the Purchasing Agent <br />was authorized to advertise for bids for the widening, resurfacing, etc. of Delhi <br />Road from Park Drive to Bristol Street; bids to be opened May 7th, 1956. <br /> <br />The Manager submitted a final cost report for the widening of South Mai$ Street fram <br />Bishop to Walnut Streets showing the comparison of cost to bid and estimate, and on <br />motion of Councilman Dab_l, seconded by Markel and carried, the report was received <br />and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the Purchasing Agent <br />was authorized to advertise for bids for the furnishing and installing of all <br />electrical materials fo~ extension of existing baseball diamond lighting at Memorial <br />Park; bids to be opened May 7th, 1956. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman D~hl, seconded by Markel and carried, the protest of Joseph <br />M.
