<br /> increase and revise certain intra-state rates and regulations, was received and filed.

<br /> Southern Counties Gas Company of California before the Public Utilities Commission, for
<br /> a general increase in gas rates under Section 454 of the Public Utilities Code, was
<br /> received and filed.

<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Markel and carried, the application of
<br />Epilson Sigma Elpha Iut., Beta Rho, Beta Tau, Eta ~lpha, Chapters Orangewood Regional
<br />Council, for permission to solicit funds for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, from the date
<br />of approval by the Council until November 28th, 1956, was granted subject to the recem-
<br />men~f-ion of the Business Men's Association.

<br />Don~!d W. Liden, Donald D. Warfield, J~s V. Todd, Marcella R. Golon, Chester T. Brow~,
<br />Jr., William A. Mayhew, Clelland D. York, Roy C. Faulconer, Laurence A. Bryant, George
<br />B. Dunn, Everett J. Julkowaki and w~m, Dabner, to drive taxicabs, were approved and
<br />permit s granted.

<br />possibility of the applications being handled by the Police Depa~-t~ent without action
