<br /> man Jerome, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance entitled:

<br /> "Ordinance No. NS-218 establishing a special prlma-facie speed limit on
<br /> Seventeenth Street between Bristol Street and the west City Limits"

<br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Council
<br /> man Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br /> "Resolution No. 56-307 accepting Grant Deed"

<br /> from John Ro Coffin, et ux in consideration of $32,000.00 for property at 620-622½ North
<br /> Ross Street, Civic Center area, was considered and passed by the following vote:
<br />
<br /> Ayes, Councilmen Dale H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, William Jerome,
<br /> Tilghman A. Taylor, Milford W. Dahl
<br /> Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None

<br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Jerome and carried, the communication, from
<br />the Boundary Commission reference proposed annexation of territory to the City of Tustim,
<br />"Revere Annexation" stating that the boundaries of the proposed annexation are reason-
<br />ably definite and certain although it overlaps a previously requested annexation area to
<br />Santa Ana, was received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the City Attorney was
<br />instructed to file a protest with the City of Tustin on its proposed annexation of terri-
<br />
<br />tory designated "Revere Annexation".

<br /> On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Taylor and carried, the communications from
<br /> the Planning Commission recommending approval of proposed annexation of parcel of land
<br /> consisting of approximately 57 acres, knu.~A as the "First and Tustin Southwest Annex"
<br /> and from the Boundary Commission advising that the boundaries are reasonably definite
<br /> certain, were received and filed.
<br />
<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />
<br />man Heinly, seconded by Taylor and carried, the following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No. 56-308 initiating proceedings for the annexation of
<br /> territory to the City of Santa Ana, designated "First and Tustin SW
<br /> Annex", and giving notice of time and place of hearing of protests
<br /> thereto"
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:
<br />
<br /> Ayes, Councilmen Dale H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, William Jerome,
<br /> Tilghman A. Taylor, Milford W. Dahl
<br /> Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None

<br /> It was moved by Councilman Heinly, seconded by TaYfor a nd carried, that the City
<br />
<br />be instructed to take the~necessary legal action,to establish the prior rights of the
<br />City of Santa Ana, against the City of Tustin reference the proposed annexation known as
<br />the "Revere Annexation".
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Jerome and carried, the communications were
<br />received and filed from the Planning Commission recommending approval and from the
<br />ary Commission stating that the boundaries of the property are reasonably definite and
<br />certain with reference to the "North of Smeltzer Annexation, and the "South of Smeltzer
<br />Annexation".
