<br />On motion of CounciLman Markel, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following

<br />Ordinance entitled:

<br /> Sheet No. 5~ of the districting map to show the reclassi-
<br /> fication''

<br />/~or a distance of 200' on Wilshire Avenue and 270' on Bristol Street to C-1 Distric
<br />
<br />the balance of the property to be R-1 District, reference amendment application of
<br />
<br />Orange County Development Company, was introduced, considered and placed on file
<br />
<br />second reading.
<br />
<br />It was moved by Counci!m~u Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, that action on
<br />
<br />the Ordinance amending Sections 7403, 7404 and 7405 regulating water service be
<br />continued until the next meeting to permit further stud~ by the Council as a whole.
<br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the following
<br />
<br />Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br />"Ordinance amending certain Sections of the Uniform Buildin~
<br />Code, 1955 Edition"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Jerome and carried, the following
<br />
<br />Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br />"Ordinance amending Chapter 2 of Article VIII of the Santa Aha
<br /> Municipal Code to adopt byreference the Uniform Plumbing Code,
<br /> 1955 Edition, with amendments thereto"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considered, placed on file for second reading, and a notice of
<br />
<br />public hearing ordered published setting the date of hearing on April 15, 1957.
<br />
<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of th~ Ordinance, on motion of
<br />
<br />Counci~m~u Jerome, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance entitled
<br />
<br />"Ordinance No. NS-235 amending Article IX of the Santa Ana
<br />Municipal Code creating changes in District boundaries, and
<br />amending Sheet No. 12 of the Districting Map to show the
<br />reclassification"
<br />
<br />of property located on the west side of North Main Street, near Bullock's property,
<br />
<br />from the R-1 and R-2 Districts to C-2-PK District, reference amendment of B. L.
<br />
<br />Metcalf, was considered and passed by the following vote:
<br />

<br />Noes, Councilmen None
<br />Absent, Council men None

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of

<br />Councilman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Ordinance entitled
<br />
<br />"Ordinance No. NS-236 providing inspection fees on building
<br />relocation applications"
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:

<br />Communication was read from the State of California, Department of Public Works,
<br />
<br />advisin~ that in order to comply with the 1956 Federal Highway Act, it is necessary
<br />
<br />to prepare for the State, a complete inventory of highway, road and street improve-
<br />
<br />ment needs for the period July ~, ~956 to July l~ 1971. On motion of Councilman
<br />
<br />Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the matter was referred to the Msnager and
<br />
<br />the Department of Public Works.
