<br /> Preliminary Map filed by Robert Jellison covering proposed subdivision of property
<br /> located on the west side of Towner Street, beginning at a point 279.50' north of
<br /> the intersection of the center lines of Baker and Towner Streets, thence north 100'
<br /> and west 170', subject to conditions of the Department of Public Works. Also~
<br /> c~mication was read from Robert Jellison requesting cancellation of further pro-
<br /> oeedings until a later date, and on motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard
<br /> and carried, action w~s postponed until the subdivider makes further application.
<br /> On motion of Councilman R~ll, seconded by Hubbard and carried, Tentative Map of
<br /> Tract No. 3236, submitted by W.F.Croddy, of property bounded on the west by Harbor
<br /> Boulevard and on the south by Delhi Road, and consisting of thirty-eight lets, was
<br /> approved, subject to the conditions as set forth by the Department of Public Works
<br /> and the exclusion of the dedication of Harbor Boulevard 60' easterly frc~ the
<br /> center line.
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, t~at escrow
<br /> instructions be approved and signed, without cash consideration, for various
<br /> properties to be used for street purposes, from the followin~ persons:
<br />
<br /> Fred A. and Ethel P. Woalum - Walnut Street west of Pacific Avenue,
<br /> Alfred and Marcia Covarrubias - Walnut Street west of Pacific Avenue,
<br /> Ruby C. Kuebler - Walnut Street west of Pacific Avenue.

<br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br /> Councilman Markel, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No. 57-119 accepting Grant Deed"
<br />
<br /> from Juanita Cannoy, for property along the northerly line of Lot 7, Tract No. 3105:
<br /> and southerly from the cul-de-sac on Wright Street south of Fruit Street, without
<br /> cash consideration, was considered and passed by the following vote:
<br />
<br /> Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A.A.Hall,
<br /> J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly
<br />Noes, Councilmen None
<br />Absent, Councilmen None

<br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by GoUld and carried, that action be
<br />deferred on the Ordinance amending Sections 7~03, 7404 and 7405 regulating water
<br />service.
<br />
<br />The Council having u~ar~imously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of
<br />Councilman Markel, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Ordinance No. NS-243 establishing special prima facte speed limits
<br /> on East Seventeenth Street, North Bristol Street, South Bristol
<br /> Street and West First Street"
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:
