<br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of

<br /> Councilman Markel, seconded by Ma1] a~d carried, the following Ordinance entitled:

<br /> "Ordinance No. NS-245 amending Article IX of the Santa Aha Municipal
<br /> Code creating changes in district boundaries and amending Sheets
<br /> NO. 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 13, 14, 15, 29, 30, 31, 32, 40, 41, 42 and 43
<br /> of the Districting Map to show the reclassification" '
<br />
<br /> by modifying the existing C-1 and C-2 Districts upon property fronting on or adjacent
<br /> to the east and west sides of North and South Main Street, from Tenth Street north
<br /> and Walnut Street south, to the Corporate Limits, by the addition thereto of -PK
<br /> (Parking District Requirements), reference Planning Co~zmission initiated amendment,
<br /> was considered and passed by the following vote:
<br />
<br /> Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A. A. Hall,
<br /> J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly
<br /> Noes, Councilmen None

<br /> On motion of Councilm~n Markel, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following
<br /> Ordinance entitled:

<br /> "Ordinance fixing procedur~ regarding brokers cow~issions on the
<br /> sale of City-owned real property,'
<br />
<br /> was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following
<br /> Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Ordinance amending Sections 5302.1, 5305, 5306, 5307, 5308
<br /> and 5309 of tb~ Santa Aha Municipal Code regulating orchard
<br /> heaters"
<br />
<br /> was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Counc~lm~u Markel, seconded by Hubbard and carried, proper officials
<br /> were authorized to execute lease with American National Red Cross for the rental of
<br /> Rooms 102 through ll2, both inclusive, and Rocks llS, ]_16, ll7 and ll8, in the
<br /> Community Center Building, for a period of thirty months, beginning on the 1st day of
<br /> MaY, 1957 and ending on the 31st day of October, 1959, at a rental of $392.50 per
<br /> month.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Hubbard and carried, proper officials
<br /> were authorized to execute lease for County Superintendent of Schools office at
<br /> the Community Center for the rental of Rooms 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 201, 202,
<br /> 216, 217, 2_18, 219, 220, 225, 226, 227, P~q8, 229, 230, 240, 242, 243, 244, 245, and
<br /> the PX Building, beginning on the 1st day of May, 1957 and ending on the 31st day of
<br /> October, 1959, at a rental of $1025.00 per month.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the communication
<br /> from Barr Construction Company requesting the elimination of sidewalks in Record of
<br /> Survey Map, submitted by Wright Ltd., on property located on the west side of North
<br /> Spurgeon Street between East Buffalo Avenue and East Twenty-second Street, was
<br /> received and filed. On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Gould and carried, il
<br /> Record of Survey Map of Wright Ltd., was approved, without construction of sidewalks,'
<br /> and license payment fee of $150.00 accepted.

<br />of the Retail Division of the Chamber for a change of hours relative to parking
