<br />been referred to the Traffic Committee, was received and filed.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the communication
<br />
<br />from Ernest F. Shade, 326 Grant Street~ objecting to the repeal of the Ordinance to
<br />
<br />ban all-night parking on streets, was received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the following bonds
<br />
<br />and Record of Survey were ordered released and improvements accepted as completed:

<br />Twenty-one bonds submitted by Lenney Homes Units for the dedication of Washingto~
<br />Avenue, Linwood Avenue, Grace Street, Eastside Avenue, Grace Place, Vance Place,
<br />Stafford Street, Wellington Avenue and a portion of Fruit Street~ Wright Street,
<br />Concord Street~ Lyon and Mabury Streets, in the total sum of $173,000.00, in Tract
<br />No. 2648;
<br />Bond of Amron Development Company for the improvements of Wisteria Place, Cedar
<br />Street and Halladay Street, in the sum of $17,500.00, in Tract No. 3078;
<br />Bond of Amron Development Company for the improvements of Wakeham Avenue, Cedar

<br />Ou recommendation of the investigating committee and on motion of Councilman Hubbard,

<br />seconded by Gould and carried, the request of Mrs. Berta Fine, President, Orange
<br />
<br />County Chapter of the City of Hope, for permission to solicit funds during the
<br />
<br />month of Jane, was denied.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard,

<br />seconded by Hall and carried, the communication
<br />
<br />from the State of California, Department of Education, submitting a waiver of the
<br />
<br />90-day termination notice contained in paragraph 8 of Lease dated April 12, 1955,
<br />
<br />for leasing of certain rooms at the Community Center, was referred to the Manager
<br />
<br />and Park Superintendent for recommendation.
