<br />

<br />On motion of Councilm~n Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the coemmmication
<br />
<br />from 0'Melveny & Mu~rs submitting an opinion on legal questions involving the
<br />
<br />Sanitation Districts in Orange County was referred to the Council as a c~m~ttee of
<br />
<br />the whole.
<br />
<br />Communication was read from Orange County Peace Officers Association, Inc., giving
<br />
<br />notice that agreement dated June 28, 1954 will be terminated August 31, 1957, P~-
<br />
<br />viding for the use of the training facilities on the range operated by the Assoc-
<br />
<br />iation and for the sale of ammunition to be used by the City's Policemen'on the
<br />
<br />range and that a new agreement will be offered prior to termination date. On
<br />
<br />motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the communication was
<br />
<br />received and filed.

<br />Communication was read from Patricia Simmons, Director of Tri-College Survey,
<br />
<br />advisi~ that the three Junior Colleges of Orange County are engaged in an
<br />
<br />al survey-research project of the entire County and requesting a Resolution of
<br />
<br />endorsement on this project, and on motion of Counci~m~n Markel, seconded by Hall
<br />
<br />and carried, the comEnunication was received and filed. The Council having unaui-
<br />
<br />mously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Markel,
<br />
<br />by Hall and carried, the following Resolution entitled:
