RESOLUTION NO. 76-96 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA FIXING AND ESTABLISHING <br />THE COMPENSATION FOR THE OFFICE OF CITY <br />ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1976, AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTIONS INCONSISTENT HEREWITH. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br /> <br /> 1. That the salary for the office of the City Attorney <br />of the City of Santa Ana is hereby fixed and established at <br />$3,200.00 per month. <br /> <br /> 2. That said salary shall be paid in the same manner <br />and at the same times as other monthly salaries in the City <br />are paid, and shall take effect and be paid from and after July <br />1, 1976. <br /> <br /> 3. In addition to the salary hereinabove fixed and estab- <br />lished for said office, said officer shall receive, as additional <br />compensation, the following employee benefits: <br /> <br />(a) Deferred Compensation. <br /> <br /> Effective January 1, 1977, said officer shall <br />receive as deferred compensation an amount equal to one <br />percent (1%) of his or her monthly salary. The amounts <br />contributed by the City under this provision shall be <br />subject to the terms and conditions of the City <br />of Santa Ana Deferred Compensation Plan, and subject <br />further to the conditions that: <br /> <br /> i. Said officer shall not have any <br />vested right in the amounts contributed by the <br />City until termination of employment with <br />City; <br /> <br /> ii. City will pay the total amount of <br />contributions plus any earnings thereon to said <br />officer upon termination, resignation, retire- <br />ment, dismissal or death. <br /> <br />(b) Health Insurance. <br /> <br /> Effective July 1, 1976, the City will contribute <br />the following amounts toward the payment of the premiums <br />for said officer and dependents, if applicable, under <br />the existing health insurance program (or a new pro- <br />gram providing substantially similar coverage and <br />benefits): <br /> <br /> i. if the officer aforesaid does not <br />have dependents included under the program, <br />one hundred percent (100%) of the premiums; <br /> <br /> ii. if the officer aforesaid has depen- <br />dents included under the program, an amount <br />equal to ninety percent (90%) of the total <br />premium applicable to the "family plan" cover- <br />ing said officer and his or her dependents. <br /> <br /> <br />
