RESOLUTION NO. 76-99 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 3 OF RESOLUTION <br />NO. 58-281 TO ADD THE NEW CLASS TITLE OF <br />CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES ANALYST <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed <br />and adopted Resolution No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing <br />the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers and employees of <br />the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter <br />of the City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, <br />install and maintain a position classification and pay plan sub- <br />ject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of <br />the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Collncil has from time to time amended <br />said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 18, 1975, the City Council approved <br />Resolution No. 75-110 authorizing the Police Department to submit <br />an Application for Grant to the Office of Criminal Justice Plan- <br />ning (hereafter referred to as O.C.J.P.) for fourth year funding <br />of a project designated Orange County Narcotic Index to be funded <br />in part from funds made available pursuant to the Crime Control <br />Act of 1973, PL-93-83, administered by the O.C.J.P. for the <br />California Council on Criminal Justice; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said grant-funded program requires the employ- <br />ment of a full-time Criminal Activities Analyst on the staff, a <br />classification not currently included in the City's Classification <br />and Pay Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to effectively continue said grant- <br />funded program, it is now desired to add a new class to the list <br />of class titles contained in Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, <br />and to allocate salary and wage schedules thereto. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Resolution No. <br />58-281, as amended, is hereby further amended, by adding to Sec- <br />tion 3 thereof, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following <br />class title and salary range number as next herein set out: <br /> <br />CLASS TITLE <br /> <br />SALARY RANGE NO. <br /> <br />Criminal Activities Analyst <br /> <br />375 <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect <br />on August 17, 1976. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED, this 16th day of .August , 1976, <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />COUNCILMEN: Ward, Brandt, Bricken, Ortiz, Yamamoto <br />COUNCILMEN: None j~Y~O~ <br />COUNCILMEN: Garthe, <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />KEITH L.
