RESOLUTION NO. 76-99 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 3 OF RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO ADD THE NEW CLASS TITLE OF CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES ANALYST WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan sub- ject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Collncil has from time to time amended said Resolution; and WHEREAS, on August 18, 1975, the City Council approved Resolution No. 75-110 authorizing the Police Department to submit an Application for Grant to the Office of Criminal Justice Plan- ning (hereafter referred to as O.C.J.P.) for fourth year funding of a project designated Orange County Narcotic Index to be funded in part from funds made available pursuant to the Crime Control Act of 1973, PL-93-83, administered by the O.C.J.P. for the California Council on Criminal Justice; and WHEREAS, said grant-funded program requires the employ- ment of a full-time Criminal Activities Analyst on the staff, a classification not currently included in the City's Classification and Pay Plan; and WHEREAS, in order to effectively continue said grant- funded program, it is now desired to add a new class to the list of class titles contained in Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, and to allocate salary and wage schedules thereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further amended, by adding to Sec- tion 3 thereof, in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class title and salary range number as next herein set out: CLASS TITLE SALARY RANGE NO. Criminal Activities Analyst 375 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on August 17, 1976.
