On motion of Counetlm~n Hubbard, seconded by Gould end carried, proper officials were authorized to execute agreement to remove encroachment with Advence Muffler Ser~lce Inc., to erect an electric sign at 220 West First Street, which will extend over end upon the area between the center of the street and the setback lines estab- Escrow instructions lished along West First Street and Broadway. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, that escrow in- structions be approved and signed for Civic Center property purchased from the fol- lowing persons: Reso. No. 57-233 Accept Grent Deed Hattie Do Basler (Civic Center site) Hattie D. Basler, property at 621 North Van Ness Street, for the sum of $8,250.00 Joseph E. and Mae Pope, property at 640 North Ven Ness Street, for the sum of $12,000.00, and J.A.Tarpley, property at the southwest corner of Eighth and Van Ness Streets, for the sum of $25,000.00. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the ~solution, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following ~esolution entitled "Resolution No. 57-233 accepting Grent Deed" from Hattie D. Basler for property at 621 North Van Ness Avenue, for Civic Center site, in the sum of $8,250.00, was considered and passed by the following vote: Reso. No. 57-234 Accept Grant Deed Joseph E.
