Hearing Amendment Donald S. Osen et al Ordinance Continued hearing Vacate portion of Van Ness Ave. btn 6th and 8th Sts. Reso. No. 57-264 Ordinance No. NS-285 k~end Uniform Plumbing Code, 1955 Edition Variance Vahan and Arpine Apelian Variance Latin American Assemblies of God "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Aha Municipal Code creating changes in district boundaries, and amending Sheet No. 44 of the Districting Map to show the reclassification" was introduced, considered and passed to second reading. Heinly None None This being the date set for hearing and no protests having been received, the amend~ ment application of Donald S. Osen, et al, was considere~ for the reclassification ~f property situated on the west side of South Lyon Street, beginning at a point lll feet south of the southwest corner of t~he intersection of First and Lyon Streets, extendin~ south to the north line of Chestnut Street (868-foot frontage on Lyon Street) with a depth of 240 feet, from the R-1 District to the R-3 District. On motion of Councilm~ Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Ordinance entitled~ "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Aha Municipal Code creating changes in district boundaries, and amending Sheet No. ll of the Districting Map to show the reclassification" was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. ~his being the date set for the continued hearing on the vacation, abandonment and closi~ of a portion of Van Ness Avenue between Sixth and Eighth Streets; no protests were received. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution~ on motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 57-264 ordering the vacation, abandonment and closing of a portion of Van Ness Avenue" was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., Dale H. Heinly Noes~ Councilmen A.A. N~ll, J. Ogden Markel Absent, Councilmen None The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance No. NS-285 amendin~ Chapter 2 of Article VIII of the Santa Ana Municipal Code to amend the Uniform Plambing Code, 1955 Edition" was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes~ Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A. A. Hall, J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly Noe s, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None On motion of Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried~ the recon~nendation of the Pl~ing Commission was approved and the variance of Vahan and Arpine Apellan granted to permit the construction of two duplexes on property at 1702 South Flower Street, in the R-1 District, subject to four conditions of the Commission. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried~ the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance of the Latin ~merican Assemblies of G~d was granted, to permit construction of a Church and Sunday School on property situated on the north side of Willits Street, beginning at a point ll~ fe~t east of the northeast corner of the intersection of Nottingham Avenue and Willits Street, thence extending 330 feet east on Willits Street, and north for a depth of 316.41 feet, in an R-1 District, subject to conditions of the Commission and the Department of Public Works. The representative of the Church requested permission to postpone construction of required street improvements for approximately one y~ar, due to lack of funds,and it was suggested that he investigat~ the possibility of filing a bond covering the costs.
