Heinly <br />None <br />None <br /> <br /> This being the date set for hearing and no protests having been received, the amend~ <br /> ment application of Donald S. Osen, et al, was considere~ for the reclassification ~f <br /> property situated on the west side of South Lyon Street, beginning at a point lll <br /> feet south of the southwest corner of t~he intersection of First and Lyon Streets, <br /> extendin~ south to the north line of Chestnut Street (868-foot frontage on Lyon <br /> Street) with a depth of 240 feet, from the R-1 District to the R-3 District. On <br /> motion of Councilm~ Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Ordinance <br /> entitled~ <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Aha Municipal Code <br /> creating changes in district boundaries, and amending Sheet <br /> No. ll of the Districting Map to show the reclassification" <br /> <br /> was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />~his being the date set for the continued hearing on the vacation, abandonment and <br />closi~ of a portion of Van Ness Avenue between Sixth and Eighth Streets; no protests <br />were received. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution~ <br />on motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following <br />Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 57-264 ordering the vacation, abandonment and <br /> closing of a portion of Van Ness Avenue" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Ogden Markel <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance No. NS-285 amendin~ Chapter 2 of Article VIII of the <br /> Santa Ana Municipal Code to amend the Uniform Plambing Code, <br /> 1955 Edition" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes~ Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A. A. Hall, <br /> J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly <br />Noe s, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried~ the recon~nendation of <br />the Pl~ing Commission was approved and the variance of Vahan and Arpine Apellan <br />granted to permit the construction of two duplexes on property at 1702 South Flower <br />Street, in the R-1 District, subject to four conditions of the Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried~ the recommendation <br />of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance of the Latin ~merican <br />Assemblies of G~d was granted, to permit construction of a Church and Sunday <br />School on property situated on the north side of Willits Street, beginning at a <br />point ll~ fe~t east of the northeast corner of the intersection of Nottingham <br /> <br />Avenue and Willits Street, thence extending 330 feet east on Willits Street, and <br />north for a depth of 316.41 feet, in an R-1 District, subject to conditions of the <br />Commission and the Department of Public Works. The representative of the Church <br />requested permission to postpone construction of required street improvements for <br />approximately one y~ar, due to lack of funds,and it was suggested that he investigat~ <br />the possibility of filing a bond covering the costs. <br /> <br /> <br />
