No. 58-2 <br />Withdrawal of certain <br />territories from <br />"Tustin Lighting District" <br /> <br />Ordinance No. NS-299 <br />Declarin~ -~exation <br />"Fairview and Raitt <br />S.W.Annex" <br /> <br />William t{. Acker of Associated Ambulance Service appeared before the Council and <br />again requested action be taken to regulate ambulances in the City and an 0rdinan <br />be adopted similar to the rebuzlations of the City of San Bernardino. Councilman <br />Markel stated a committee had been appointed to recommend an Ordinance regulating <br />ambulance service and reported on the committee's findings. On motion of Council- <br /> <br />man Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the matter was continued until Januaz <br />20, 1958 when the Attorney is to present a draft of the Ordinance as recommended <br /> <br /> the committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the Preliminary <br />Map submitted by Donald D. Randall on property located approximately 288 feet west <br />of Lyon Street with an approximate 325 foot frontage on Chestnut Street, was ap- <br />proved subject to the conditions of the Department of Public Works. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the recommendatio: <br /> of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance of Roland R. Laursen <br /> <br />granted to permit construction of a building on rear part of property at 702 North <br />Grand Avenue, to be used to process and develop photographs for editorial and <br />advertising clientele, the great majority of which will be dealt with (interviewed <br />and photographed) away fro~ this site, in accordance with new plot plan submitted <br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending denial of variance <br /> <br />application of Harold J. and Irene V. Borchardt, to permit the use of the entire <br /> <br />single-family dwelling on property at 1417 North Bristol Street, for offices of <br /> <br />one doctor. On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the <br /> <br />recgmmendation of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance denied. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution <br /> <br />entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 58-1 authorizing execution of agreement with <br />Southern Pacific Company for installation of flashing light <br />sign~.l s at the McFadden Street railroad crossing" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noe s, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., <br />J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly <br />None <br />A. A. Hall <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution <br /> <br />entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 58-2 declaring the withdrawal of certain <br />territories from the 'Tustin Lighting District'" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., <br /> J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen A.A.Hall <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of <br /> <br />Counci!msn Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance <br /> <br />entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance No. NS-299 declaring the annexation of that <br /> certain territory designated 'Fairview and Raitt S. W. <br /> Annex ~" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E.
