<br />were authorized to execute agreement with Richard J. Neutra and Robert E.Alexander,
<br />Architects, Ramberg and Lowrey, Associated, for architectural services for the
<br />Police Facility Building~ in Civic Center.

<br /> ized to write a letter to the Board of Supervisors requesting early action on plans
<br /> for the West Ditch north of Talbert Avenue.

<br />On motion of Counctl,u~n Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the M~n~-ger was
<br />authorized to contact the State Retirement System for the purpose of obtaining
<br />actuarial data, procedure and information in connection with retirement law pro-
<br />visions as set forth in Government Code Sections 2_1252.6, 20804.5, 208~4.1, 20839,

<br /> 0894.5, and 51.5.

<br /> structed to publish a notice of public hearing on the proposed Budget for the
<br /> year 1~58-1959, setting the date as July 21, 1958, according to the provisions of
<br /> the Charter.

<br /> authorized to execute agreement dated July 7, 1958, with Metcalf Plaza Shopping
<br /> Center, to remove encroachment to permit the placing of flood lights amd under
<br /> conduits in the setback area on North Main Street.

<br />cations and salary schedules for Identification Office~and Duplicating Shop Supervis
<br />effective July 1, 1958, and the abolishment of class of Duplicating Machine
<br />were approved, as recommended by the Manager.

<br /> Neighbour, Jr., was granted for an extension of time until July 17, 1959, on Tract

<br />On motion of Counc~Im~n Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the request of Santa
<br />Aha Lodge No. 794 B.P.0.E. was granted to use the Municipal Bowl on Saturday,
<br />September 13~ 1958, for the purpose of presenting five professional boxing matches;
<br />at a flat fee of $150.00, subject to the condition that an application is filed to
<br />solicit funds for charitable purposes.

<br />On motion of Counc~m-n Hubbard, seconded by GoUld and carried, the City Manager was
<br />granted permission to leave the City frc~ July 8 to July 12, 1958 and appointment of
<br />H.H.Foremen~ Director of Public Works, to serve as Acting City Manager, was approved.
