It was moved <br /> <br />Councilman Gould, seconded by Hall and carried, that the Attorney be authorized to <br /> <br />institute condemnation action of the City in the acquisition of the Cleo N. Sharp <br /> <br />property at Sixth Street and V~n Ness Avenue, in the sum of $65,000.00; said sum <br /> <br />is a reasonable amount based upon evidence of sales in the area and it is to the <br /> <br />best interest of the City to settle said matter on the basis of approximately <br />$3.52 per square foot which is au amount equal to average sales in the area <br /> <br />comparable <br />Roll Call <br /> <br />to the property in question. <br /> <br />The Council <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Stanley C. Heinly <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, that authorization <br /> <br />be granted to the Department of Public Works to submit to the State Department of <br /> <br />Highways for approval the channelization plan establishing Main Street between <br /> <br />Owens Drive and the north City limits as a divided highway with left turn lanes. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitledi <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 58-239 concerning parking limitations and curb <br />markings in accor~e~ce therewith" <br /> <br />establishing no parking zones at Lowell School, Fr~aklin School and Roosevelt <br /> <br />School, in connection with School Safety Patrol, was considered and passed by the <br /> <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, CounciLmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E.
