That the salary for the office of the Clerk of <br />the Council of the City of Santa Ana is hereby fixed and <br />established at One Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($1,800.00) <br />per month. <br /> <br /> 2. That said salary shall be paid in the same manner <br />and at the same times as other monthly salaries in the City are <br />paid, and shall take effect and be paid from and after Decem- <br />ber 11, 1978. <br /> <br /> 3. In addition to the salary hereinabove fixed and <br />established for said office, said officer shall receive, as <br />additional compensation, the following employee benefits: <br /> <br />(a) Deferred Compensation <br /> <br /> Said officer shall receive as deferred <br />compensation an amount equal to one percent <br />(1%) of his or her monthly salary. The <br />amounts contributed by the City under this pro- <br />vision shall be subject to the terms and con- <br />ditions of the City of Santa Ana Deferred <br />Compensation Plan, and subject further to the <br />conditions that: <br /> <br /> i. Said officer shall not have <br />any vested right in the amounts con- <br />tributed by the City until termina- <br />tion of employment with City; <br /> <br /> ii. City will pay the total <br />amount of contributions plus any <br />earnings thereon to said officer upon <br />termination, resignation, retirement, <br />dismissal or death. <br /> <br />(b) Health Insurance <br /> <br /> The City will contribute the following <br />amounts toward the payment of the premiums <br />for said officer and dependents, if applicable, <br />under the existing health insurance program <br />(or a new program providing substantially <br />similar coverage and benefits): <br /> <br /> i. If said officer does not have <br />dependents included under the program, <br />one hundred percent (100%) of the <br />premiums; <br /> <br /> <br />
