EJC: adg <br /> <br />A R SO .UTION Or THE CITY COUNCI g 3%U) <br />CITY OF S~TA ~A ~ENDING RESO~NS --~ <br />79-36 AND 78-144 TO ADJUST THE ~MPEN- 9-/7-~9 <br />SATION FIXED AND ESTABLISHED FOR THE <br />OFFICE OF CITY M~AGER ~D THE OFFICE <br />OF THE CLE~ OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on October 16, 1978, the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana approved memorandums of understanding <br />between the City of Santa Ana and employee representatives; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council further approved equal <br />benefits to unrepresented executive management and middle <br />management employees, with certain exceptions which included <br />the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council intended, and now intends <br />to extend the aforesaid equal benefits to the City Manager <br />and the Clerk of the Council effective from and after March 1, <br />1979. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br /> 1. That Resolution No. 79-36 be amended to provide <br />the following benefits effective March 1, 1979. The City of <br />Santa Ana shall reimburse retirement contributions paid by <br />the City Manager to the Public Employees Retirement System <br />in an amount equal to five percent (5%) times the "compensation" <br />upon which such retirement contributions are calculated for <br />the period March 1, 1979 to June 30, 1979, payable on July 9, <br />1979 for the months of March, April, May and June. Such <br />reimbursement is not an increase in salary. <br /> <br /> 2. That Resolution No. 78-144 be amended to pro- <br />vide the following benefits effective March 1, 1979. The <br />City of Santa Ana shall reimburse retirement contributions <br />paid by the Clerk of the Council to the Public Employees <br />Retirement System in an amount equal to five percent (5%) <br />times the "compensation" upon which such retirement con- <br />tributions are calculated for the period March 1, 1979 to <br />June 30, 1979, payable on July 9, 1979 for the months of <br />March, April, May and June. Such reimbursement is not an <br />increase in salary. <br /> <br /> 3.
