<br />It was moved by Counc*lm-- H~l and seconded by Hubbard that Lee Smith be nominated
<br />
<br />as a member of the Planning Co~mission due to the resignation of A.J. (Al) Miller.

<br />On motion of Counc~lm,~ Gould, seconded by Hall and carried, the appointment of Lee
<br />
<br />· ~,~th, as a member of the planning Commission, term to expire July l, 1961, was

<br />On motion of Counci!~ Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the petition signed
<br />
<br />by F. M. Flippen requesting am~exation to the City of certain u~nbabited terri-
<br />
<br />tory consisting of 57.~acressituated on the south side of Garden Grove Boulevard,
<br />
<br />west of the Santa Ana River, and designated "Memory Lane and River S. W. Annex",
<br />
<br />and approval of the Boundary Co~ssion, were received and filed.

<br />The Council having ~e~imously waived the rea~tng of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />
<br />Coun¢f~man Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the following Resolution
<br />
<br />entitled:
<br />
<br />"Resolution No. 58-289 giving notice of proposed annexation
<br /> to the City of Santm Aha of that certain uninhabited territory
<br /> described herein and designated 'Memory Lane and River S. W.
<br /> Annex', and giving notice of time and place for hearing of
<br /> protests thereto"

<br />setting the date of hearing on January 5, 1959· was considered and passed by the

<br />On motion of Connotlma~ Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the request of The

<br />was granted to solicit funds beginning November 1, 1958 through February 1, 1959.

<br />On motion of Counc~lm~n Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, prOper officials
<br />
<br />were authorized to e~ecute agreement with the County of Or~n~ in regard to cancel-
<br />
<br />lation of lease effective November 1, 1958, for use of the auditori~, lounge and
<br />
<br />kitchen of the Community Center Clubhouse, as a meeting place for Ernest L. Kellog
<br />

<br />cation for permit of Edith M. Paine, dba American Ambulance Service, 1202 East
<br />
