EJC:ar <br />2/20/79 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-37 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION 77-84 AND <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78-104 TO ADJUST THE COMPEN- <br />SATION FIXED AND ESTABLISHED FOR THE OFFICE <br />OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of City Manager of the City <br />of Santa Ana became vacant effective August 4, 1978, due <br />to the resignation of Mr. Bruce C. Spragg; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council on July 25, 1978, desir- <br />ing to appoint a current officer of the city to serve as <br />Acting City Manager until the recruitment and selection of <br />a permanent replacement can be made, appointed City Attorney <br />Keith L. Gow to serve in a dual capacity as Acting City Man- <br />ager-City Attorney, effective August 4, 1978; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. <br />78-104 adjusting the City Attorney's compensation effective <br />from and after August 4, 1978, in consideration of the addi- <br />tional duties and responsibilities he has assumed as Acting <br />City Manager; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council appointed a City Manager <br />on February 20, 1979, and relieved the City Attorney of the <br />additional responsibility as Acting City Manager. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Resolution No. 77-84 as amended be amended <br />to change the salary fixed and established for the Office <br />of City Attorney from Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) per <br />month to Three Thousand Five Hundred Twenty Dollars ($3,520.00) <br />per month. <br /> <br /> 2. That said adjusted salary shall be paid in <br />the same manner and at the same time as other monthly salaries <br />in the city are paid, and shall take effect and be paid from <br />and after February 20, 1979. <br /> <br /> 3.
