<br />required by Section lO1.2 of the Charters no protests were received. On motion of'
<br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, bhe following Ordinance entitledi

<br />lng. On motion of Councilmsu Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following
<br />Ordinance entitled:

<br />"Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory
<br />designated 'M~mory Lane and River S. W. Annex'"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
<br />
<br />The Mayor announced this is the time and place for hearing protests or objections
<br />
<br />against the assessment levied for the improvement of Daisy Avenue and other streets~
<br />in Assessment District No. 198 and asked the Clerk if she was in possession of the
<br />
<br />affidavit of publication, affidavit of mailing and affidavit of posting. The
<br />
<br />Clerk stated she had the affidavits, and on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded
<br />
<br />by Markel and carried, the affidavits were received and filed. The Mayor asked
<br />the Clerk if she had received any written protests or objections against the
<br />
<br />assessment or a~ainSt the improvement as constructed or against the proceedings.
<br />
<br />The Clerk said that no written protests had been received~ and on motion of Council,
<br />
<br />man Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the hearing was closed. The Council
<br />
<br />having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Codncilman
<br />Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried~ the following Resolution entitled:

<br />"Resolution No. 59-1 of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana,
<br />confirming the assessment for the improvement of Daisy Avenue and
<br />other streets"
