No. 1057 <br />Richard Esparza <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on the vacation of certain unnamed alleys south <br />of Delhi Road and east of Main Street; no protests were received and the hearing <br />was declared closed. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and <br />carried, that all proceedings heretofore enacted for the vacation of certain alleysi! <br />in the area south of Delhi Road and east of Main Street, be terminated. The <br />Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following P~solution entitle~: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 59-2 approving map, declaring intention to vacate <br /> certain ,mnamed alleys south of Delhi Road and east of Main Street, <br /> reserving utility easements in certain of said alleys, and fixing <br /> time and place of hearing thereon" <br /> <br />as February 16, 1959, was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Heinly <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />On motion of Councilm~n Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, Preliminary Record:i <br />of Survey Nap filed by Edward Fall dividing into two parcels, property located <br />generally between Cedar Street on the west, Standard Avenue on the east and approx-i! <br />~mately 400 feet north of St. Andrew Place,Was approved subject to the conditions <br />of the Planning Department and condition No. 2 shall read "135 feet" instead of <br />"120 feet", and condition No. 6 shall read "prior to the issuance of a building .' <br /> <br />Co~mmnicationwas read from the Planning Commission advising that under date of <br /> <br />June 18, 1956, Variance Application No. 776 filed by Quentin L. Richard, w~s granted <br />on property situated at the southwest corner of Flower and Edinger Streets, to <br />permit the establishment of a major service station at the northeast corner$ con- <br />struct a building to the west of the service station, to be located 110 feet from <br />center line of Edinger Street, and construct a building (maxLmum size 242 feet x <br /> <br />100 feet) to the immediate south of service station, for a modern shopping center, <br />subject to conditions. Mr. Harold T. 0dmark stated he purchased the property sub- <br />Ject to the validity of the Variance and if the Record of Survey is enforced. It <br />was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, that the deviation <br />under Variance Application No. 776 be granted to move the entire structure slightly~i <br />to the east, decreasing the size of the structure. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Markel and carried, ghe suggestion of'the <br />Planning Department to delete condition No. 5, if the property at the southwest' <br />corner of Flower and Edinger Streets is developed, as ~l~owed by VarianCe APPlication <br />No. 776, requiring an alley as a condition of approval of the Preliminary Record <br />of Survey Map filed by Steve Locken, was approved. <br /> <br />0n motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the recommendation <br />of the Planning Commission was approved and Variance Application No. 1057 of Richard <br />and Inez Esparza granted to re~uce the front yard from the required 60 feet to 55 <br />feet, instead of from 60 feet to 58 feet, as requested, on property situated at hfl <br />South Daisy Street, in R-1 District, in order to permit construction of a one-story, <br />twe-bedroc~ stucco house of 925 square feet on front part of the lot and maintain <br /> <br />the required 15 feet between dwellings. <br /> <br /> <br />
