Heinly None None The Council having unanimously waived the r~ading of the Resolution, on motion of CouncJ]man Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 59-38 of the City of Santa Ana objecting to the sale of certain tax deeded property" which said Resolution No. 59-38 authorized the Mayor and Clerk of the Council to execute for and on behalf of the City an agreement to the Board of Supervisors for the purchs~e of tax deeded land, being the no--st portion of Russell Avenue w~st and of Lowell Street,/~a_ s considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Noes, Councilmen A~sent, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A.A.Eall, J. Ogden Markel, Dale H. Heinly None None The Council having ,~n~nimouslywaived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of COunCilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance No. NS-B61 amending Article IX of the Santa Aha Municipal Code to chef_ge district classification of certain property and to amend Sectione~ District Map 25-5-10" and to reclassify from C-1-PK District to the C-2-PK District property bounded on the north by Delhi Road, on the east by Main Street, on the south by the Pacific Electric Railway right-of-way, and on the west by a line approxfm~tely 322 feet west of the center line of Main Street, in accordance with Amendment Application No. 267 ~nftiated by the Planning Commission, was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A.A.Hall, J. Ogden Marksl, Dale H. Relnly Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None The Council having unanimously waived the rending of the Ordi~noe, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "0rd~n~nce No. NS-362 establishing uniform speed limits on Grand Avenue, McClay Street, Seventeenth Street, Bristol Street, First Street, Fourth Street, Fairview Avenue, McFadden Street, and Broadway" was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Counct ]men Noe s, Counct] men Absent, Counct 1 ,~u Royal E. He,rely None None On motion of Counctlm~ Hubbard, seconded by GOuld and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance amending Part 3 of Chapter 3 of Article IV of the Santa Ana MAmicipal Code, regulating pool halls" was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading, with the provision relating to Police Officers be stricken from the Ordinence. A petition was presented signed by approxi~etely 86 persons requesting that either a four-way stop or sig~ lights be installed, at First and ~,~Lliw~n Stre(t~ and oD motion of Counc!~man Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the petition was received, filed and request denied. On motion of Counci!~en Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the application of L. M. Guyon, dba State Merchants Police, for a business permit to operate a patrol service was referred to the Police Department for investigation, processing and report back when the applicant has fulfilled the necessary requirements as set forth in the Municipal Code.
