It was moved by Counci!maD Hubbard, seconded by Nall and <br /> <br />carried, that the matter be continued until April 6, 1959. <br /> <br />The Council having ,,nanimously waived the reading of the ResolUtion, on motion of <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the follow~ Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 59-58 accepting the deed of Charles Smith, where <br /> the City is giving cash consideration" <br /> <br />in the sum of $975.00 for property at 1053 West Sixth Street, for Civic 0enter site, <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Aye s, Councilmen <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E. Heinly <br /> <br />The Council having l~n-nfm~usly waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 59-60 correcting and amending 'Resolution No. 59-14 <br />ca~l~a SpeCial ~e,~t~ipal Election to be held on the 10th day of <br />March, 1959, to submit to the electors in that certain territory <br />designated 'West Santa Aha Annex' the question of whether or not <br />said 'territory should be annexed to the City of Santa Aha, California, <br />declaring that protest had not been made by the owners of one-half <br />of the value of said territory, ch-~ing the boundaries of said terri- <br />tory .to delete therefrc~ that territory within Garden Grove Annexation <br />No. 63, and resubmitting the boundaries as changed to the Orange <br />County Boundary Cnmmission', to correctly state the intent, decision <br />and action of the City Council taken on January 8th, 1959, in the <br />adoption of said Resolution No. 59-14" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Cou~c ~ 1 men <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E. Reinly <br /> <br />A petition was presented signed by Clfm-x Manufacturing Company, 1025 East Chestnut <br /> <br />Street, et al, requesting curbs, pavement, driveway entrances, grading appurtenances <br /> <br />and appurtenant work where necessary to meet City standards on Pine Street from the <br />center line of Minnie Street to the east line of Lot 10 Block D of Bailey's Addition, <br /> <br />extended southerly to the cen~er line of the railroad tracks and thence mmning <br />along said center line of the railroad to the south line of Pine Street. On motion <br />of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the petition was referred to <br /> <br />the Ma~sger for report and reco~endation~ on the findings. <br /> <br />Conmmnications <br />County of Orange, <br />Boundary Commission et al <br /> <br />0n motion of Counci]mmn Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the following communi- <br /> <br />cations were received and filed: <br /> <br /> From the County of Orange submitting copy of Resolution of the Board of <br />Supervisors establishing the Fiscal Program for the Arterial Highway Financing <br />Program for the Fiscal Year 1959-60, <br /> <br /> From Boundary Commuission reference proposed annexation of territory to the <br />City of Santa Aha (Delhi and Greenville SJ W. Annex) advising the boundaries of the <br />proposed ----~ti~ are reasonably definite and certain although it cuts property <br />lines, <br /> <br /> From the Boundary C~maaission reference proposed annexation of territory to <br />the City of Garden Grove (~nne. xation No. 68) advising the boundaries of the proposed <br />annexation are reasonably definite $-~ certain although it cuts property lines; <br />the proposed annexation overlaps the proposed "west Santa Aha Anr~x" to the City of <br />Santa Ana,~and suggests the City make this proposed annexation follow along existing <br />property lines and eliminate the line that cuts through the property; this proposed <br />annexation overlaps the proposed "West Santa Aha ~nnex" to the City of Santa Aha <br />approved by the Boundary Co,w,t ssion January 19, 1959, <br /> <br /> <br />
