<br /> on behalf of Leonard Earl and Mr. Barker, stated Mr. Ball is not the record owner
<br /> of all the property concerned and did not understand how Mr. ~1 l could file an
<br /> application for a subdivision and not be record title holder of the property involved.
<br /> Also, the Preliminary Record of Survey Map should be re-submitted, or, Mr.
<br /> should settle this problem with regard to the property he sold to Leonard Earl and

<br /> Mr. Barker, and suggested the matter be continued until such time as Messrs. Earl,
<br /> Barker and Hall were present. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould

<br /> Ninth and Tenth Streets, was approved subject to conditions.

<br /> On motion of ~ouncLlsm~n Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the reco~ndation

<br />of the P],nning Con~nission was approved' and Variance Application No. 1072 filed by
<br />Suburban Builders, Inc., granted to permit erection of a sign, 8 :feet by l0 feet in
<br />size (instead of 8 feet by 12 feet, originally requested), for a period not to
<br />exceed six months, on property situated on the south side of East Seventeenth Street,
<br />between 1720 and 1730, in lt*t District, subject to a condition.

<br />of the Planning Commission was approved and Variance Application No. 1079 filed by
<br />Ruth M. Hicks granted to permit construction of a two-story, six-unit apartment
<br />
<br /> house, consisting of two two-bedroom units and four one-bedroom units, the existing
<br />single-
<br />_f~mf~y dwelling to be removed, on property situated at 823 North Parton Street, in
<br />
<br />R-2 District, subject to conditions.

<br />Con~unication was read from the Planning Commission recon~nending approval of Variance
<br />Application No. 1082 filed by Gerald J. Garcia to permit construction of a single-
<br />fsmtly three-bedroom house on rear portion of lot, on property at 1531 West Second
<br />Street, in R-2 Di~trict, subject to conditions. It was moved by Councilman Gould~
<br />seconded by Hubbard and carried, that Variance Application No. 1082 be granted sub-
<br />ject to conditions. It was moved by Councilman Gould and seconded by Markel that
<br />the Variance Application be reconsidered.

<br />It was moved by Councilm-n Gould, seconded by Markel and carried, that a Resolution
<br />
<br />be adopted overruling the recommendation of the Planning Commission and the Variance
<br />be granted subject to conditions, and the further condition that the applicant be
<br />required to pave to City standards and specifications that portion of Forest Avenue
<br />whic~ abuts his property. Andrew Conti, representing the applicant, s~ated the
<br />Planning Commission approved the Variance with the stipulation that Mr. GaTcia :
