Stiff, 510 North Main Street, <br /> <br />From Tbnm~-~ Shoen. prOtesting the tactics of the Police Department, and <br /> <br /> From Senator Clair Engle commending Vice-MayorMarkel for his interest in the <br />People-to-People Program. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the following bonds <br />were ordered released on the various Tracts, as follows: <br /> <br /> Bond in the sum of $3,000.00 filed by Continental Baking Company for improve- <br />ments on Pacific Avenue, and improvements accepted as completed, and <br /> <br /> Bond in the sum of $64,000.00 filed by Fairview Homes for improvements in Tract <br />No. 3354, ~lXd improvements accepted as completed. <br /> <br />Communication was presented from Nick PokraJac, General Contractor, regarding <br /> <br />financial curtailments and harassment at the job site in the concluding weeks of <br /> <br />construction of the Santa Aha College swimming pool and requesting redress of $290.8~. <br /> <br />On motion of Counc!l~en Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, a letter was ordered <br /> <br />forwarded to the Santa Aha Board of Education with the statement that the City Council <br /> <br />rejects said claim and feels no legal obligation for payment thereof. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Markel and carried, the communications <br /> <br />from the City of Orange proposing to annex property located between Fat~haven and <br /> <br />LaVeta, ;~est of Esplanade, Annexation No. 106, and property located northeast of <br /> <br />Tustin and Villa Park on the north side of Orange, Annexation No. 107, w~re received, <br /> <br />filed and the Mayor directed to write a letter to the City of Orange objecting to <br /> <br />the proposed annexations Nos. 106 and 107 because it is inconsistent with the <br /> <br />"gentlemen's agreement" betw~mn the City of Santa Ana and the City of Orange. <br /> <br /> <br />
