Heinly <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen N~e <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Hu.bbard, seconded by Gould and carried, that the <br /> <br />Managerts request be approved confirming emergency expenditure of not more <br /> <br />than $3000.00 for repairs to electric motor on Water Well No. 16. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall m%d carried, that the request <br /> <br />of the Manager be approved for authorization for payments of costs to subdividers <br /> <br />for excess street widths and excess sewer line sizes in accordance with City <br /> <br />policy, as follows: <br /> <br /> LermeyHomes Unit II Tract 2843 $ 568.05 <br /> C. Councilman Gould, seconded hy Hubbard and carried, that the written <br /> <br />recommendation of the Manager dated April 16, 1959, for salary step increases for <br /> <br />7 employees effective May 1, 1959, and 5 employees effective June 1, 1959, was <br /> <br />approved. <br />. <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the petition signed <br /> <br />by appro~4mately 9 persons requesting curbs, pavement, grading appurtenances and <br /> <br />appurtenant work where necessary on the south half of Alton Street as it exists <br /> <br />between Main street and the west lime of Lot 1 of the Seccombe Tract in Assessment <br /> <br />District No. 200, was referred to the Manager for investigation and report. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, s~onded by Gould and carried, the following <br /> <br />communications were received and filed: <br /> <br /> From the Controller of ~he ~tate of California, Division of Tax Deeded Land, <br />authorizing the Tax Collector to sell certain tax deeded property, <br /> <br /> From the Cc~troller of the ~tate of California of advance apportionment of <br /> ~ vehicle license fee revenue for 1958-55; estimating apportionments for 1959-60, <br /> <br /> From the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Small Craft Harbors <br />· regarding meeting to be held April 20, 1959, City Oouncil Chamber, De La Guerra <br />~"~ ~ Street, Santa Barbara, <br /> <br /> From the Doard of Supervisors acknowledging receipt of P~solutic~ No. 59-57 <br />changing the n~me of Panksy Street to Hunter Avenue, <br /> <br /> Frcm the Boundary Commission reference proposed annexation of territory to <br />the City of ~ustin (Ira L.
