Heinly ~on~ The Council hav~_~g una~m~ous~ waived the reading of the ~esolution, on motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Hesolution entitled: ~Resolution No. 59-108 approving map declaring intention to vacate a portion of an unnamed alley running south from ~shington Avenue, west of Lincoln" setting tD~ hearing date on June l, 1959, was considered and passed by the following vote: ~es, Absent Councilmen Councilmen Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A. A. Hall, Bob Brewer, Dale n. Heinly None ~one On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded oy Hhbard and carried, com~aunication frc~ Amalia A. Eastman protesting widening of city streets which will sacrifice shade trees and lessen the value and attractiveness of proper- ties was received and filed. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard that a Resolution of Intention be adopted to establish future right-of-way lines on both sides of Flower Street, measured 48 feet east and west of, and at right angles to the survey center line of Flower Street, between the center line of Seventeenth Street and a point approximately 200 feet north of the center line of Seventeenth Street; and~ both sides of Flower Street, measured 40 feet east and west of center line of ~lower Street~ from center line of Seventeenth Street to center line of Pine Street;the areas nc~th of point 200 feet north of center line of Seven- teenth Street and south of Pine Street to be unaltered at this time, as reco~ended by the Planning Commission, and setting the date of bearing on June l, 1959. Motion lcst for lack of a second. It was moved by Councilman Hall, seconded by Gould and carried, that the matter be post- poned until June l, 1959. Petition was presented signed by approxzmately 18 residents requesting re- moval of the "No Parking" signs on the north side of ~est Tenth btreet, between English and Hawley Streets. On motion of Oouncilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the matter was referred to the Curb Usage Committ~ for thorough investigation and continued until the next regular meeting on May 18, 1959. . The ~uncil having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seco~ded ~y Gould and carried, the following Resolution entit~ d: "Resolution No. 59-109 authorizing petition to the Board of S~upervisors of Orange County to have property within the City of Santa Aha excepted from the levy of any Orange County tax to provide structural fire protection" was considered and passed ~y the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Royal E.
