Heinly <br />None <br />~one <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded oy Hhbard and carried, com~aunication <br />frc~ Amalia A. Eastman protesting widening of city streets which will <br />sacrifice shade trees and lessen the value and attractiveness of proper- <br />ties was received and filed. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard that <br />a Resolution of Intention be adopted to establish future right-of-way <br />lines on both sides of Flower Street, measured 48 feet east and west <br />of, and at right angles to the survey center line of Flower Street, between <br />the center line of Seventeenth Street and a point approximately 200 feet <br />north of the center line of Seventeenth Street; and~ both sides of <br /> <br />Flower Street, measured 40 feet east and west of center line of ~lower <br />Street~ from center line of Seventeenth Street to center line of Pine <br />Street;the areas nc~th of point 200 feet north of center line of Seven- <br />teenth Street and south of Pine Street to be unaltered at this time, as <br />reco~ended by the Planning Commission, and setting the date of bearing <br />on June l, 1959. Motion lcst for lack of a second. It was moved by <br />Councilman Hall, seconded by Gould and carried, that the matter be post- <br />poned until June l, 1959. <br /> <br />Petition was presented signed by approxzmately 18 residents requesting re- <br />moval of the "No Parking" signs on the north side of ~est Tenth btreet, <br />between English and Hawley Streets. On motion of Oouncilman Gould, <br />seconded by Hubbard and carried, the matter was referred to the Curb Usage <br />Committ~ for thorough investigation and continued until the next regular <br /> <br />meeting on May 18, 1959. <br />. <br />The ~uncil having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on <br />motion of Councilman Hubbard, seco~ded ~y Gould and carried, the following <br />Resolution entit~ d: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 59-109 authorizing petition to the Board <br /> of S~upervisors of Orange County to have property within <br /> the City of Santa Aha excepted from the levy of any <br /> Orange County tax to provide structural fire protection" <br /> <br />was considered and passed ~y the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E.
