<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by HA1 ar~ carried, proper officials
<br />
<br />were authorized to execute a contract with james M. Yontgcmery, Cc~sulting
<br />
<br />Engi.~er, for furnishi~ engineering services in cmr~ction with a master
<br />
<br />plan for certain areas prepesed for anne~atic~ and an appraisal of existing
<br />
<br />water works facilities in c~e of these areas.

<br />Communication was presented from the County of Orange, ~ight-of-Wa~ Department
<br />
<br />submitting a Grant of Easement Deed, for an extension to July 1, 1959, for
<br />
<br />temgorary easement fc~ detour purposes over City-owned property on Edinger
<br />
<br />Street, 575.00 feet easterly of Har0or Boulevard. On motion of Councilman
<br />
<br />Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the matter was referred to the
<br />
<br />proper authorities for report at the next regular meeting.

<br />On motion of Ccuncilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the following
<br />
<br />applzcations to solicit funds were granted:
<br />
<br /> Application of the Orange County Association ior Mental Health to
<br />solicit funds on Ma~ 24 and 25, 1959, and
<br />
<br /> Application from the United Cereoral Palsy Association, Inc. to
<br />solicit funds IA~v 19, 1959.

<br />On motion of ~ouncilman Hubbard, secen~ed by Hall and carried, the following
<br />
<br />bonds were ordered released c~ the various Tracts, as follows:

<br /> Bond in the sum of ~228,5~O.OO filed by Midco fc~ improvements on
<br />Maddock Street, Diamond Street, ~,arbler Otreet, Maywood Avenue, Green~lle
<br />Street, Laura ~inda Lane, Manitoba Drive, Pendleton Avenue, Anahurst Place,
<br />Delhi Road, in Tract mo. 2041, and improvements accepted as completed, and

<br /> Bond in the sum of $228,000.00 filed by Midco for improvements on
<br />Greenville Street, St. Gertrude Place, Anahurst Place, Maywood Avenue,
<br />Pendleton Avenue, Glenarbor Street, Everglade Street, Delhi Road, Fairview
<br />Place, in Tract No. 22~0, and improvements accepted as completed, and

<br /> Bond in the sum of $~3,OOO.OO filed by Lee Sievers for improvements
<br />on King Street, NLxth Street, Tenth Street, Fairwa~ Place and ~arengo Place,
<br />in Tract No. 2980, and improveme~ accepted as completed

<br />It was moved by Councilman Hall, seconded by Brewer and carried that a petitic~
<br />
<br />signed oy approximately ~70 persons requesting retention of the crossing
<br />
<br />guard at the intersection of ,~st Sauta Clara Avenue and North Bristol
<br />
<br />Street be received and filed. It was moved by Oouncilman Hall, seconded
<br />
<br />Brewer, that the crossing guard be retained to the end of the current school
<br />
<br />year.
