<br />This being the date set for hearing amending Section 9250 of the Municipal Code,
<br />Setback Lines established, by repealing paragraph (c), paragraph (L) and the
<br />following portion of paragraph (d)"...en both side$ from Flower Street to the west
<br />city limits, 50 feet from the surveyed center, except that..." Said paragraph
<br />
<br />(d) will then read "d" West Oeveateenth Street, on the north side from Bristol
<br />Street west to a point 138.71 feet east of the sarveyed center l~ne of ~lona
<br />Street, the setback line shall be 140 feet north of the surveyed center line of
<br />West Seventeenth Street, measured at right angles and except that on the n~rth
<br />side from Bristol Street to Baker Street, the setback line shall be 60 feet
<br />north of the surveyed center line of West Seventeenth Street, measured at right
<br />angles, as recommended 0y the Planning Commission. On motion of ~ouncilman
<br />
<br />Gould, seconded by Hall and carried, the matter was continued until June l,
<br />
<br />1959.

<br />This Oeing the date set for hearing protests on the abatemenbof weeds;no
<br />protests were received and the hearing was closed. The Gouncil having unan-
<br />imouslywaived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Gould,
<br />seconded Oy Hall and carried, the following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No. 59-105 ordering the Street Superintendent
<br /> to abate the public nuisance heretofore declared hy the
<br /> Cit~ Council of the City of Santa Ana, to-wit: Weeds which
<br /> hear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a
<br /> large growth as to become a fire menace when dry and which
<br /> are noxious and dangerous, gro~ing upon certain streets,
<br /> sidewalks and private property in the City of Santa Arm,
<br /> by having the weeds referred to removed"
<br />
<br />was considered and passed oy the following vote:
<br />

<br />This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting
<br />
<br />of approximately 26 acres situated at the southwest corner of Delhi Road and
<br /> desimuated "Delhi and Greenville S.W'. Annex"
<br />GreenviIle ~tree~/, no protests were received, and the hearing was closed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following
<br />
<br />Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Ordinance declaringthe annexation of that certain
<br /> territory designated "Delhi and ~reenville S.~. Annex"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for secc~d reading.
<br />
<br />The ~ayor announced this is the time and place ests or objections
<br />
<br />against the assessment for the improvement of St. Andrew Place and other
<br />streets in Assessment District No. 199, and asked the Clerk if she was in
<br />p~ssession of the affidavit of publication, affidavit of posting and affi-
<br />davit of mailing. The Clerk stated she had the affidavits, and on motion
<br />of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the affidavits were
<br />received and filed. The ~vor asked the Clerk if she had received any
<br />written protests or objections against the assessment, the improvements as
<br />constructed, or the proceedings, and the Clerk read letters ofprobest from
<br />Mary L. Gallo, 1915 Kilson Drive; Gec~ge N. Mac~evin, 2246 Oak Street;
<br />
<br />Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hobbs, 2015 Hallad~; Leslie D. Truman, 2019 Hickory
<br />Street; A. W. Purcella, 1917 Kilsc~ Drive; Mr. and krs. R. ~. Bader, 201~
<br />Hallad~; M. E. Peters, 2020 hickory, and mr. and Mrs. ~erman D. ~unt.
