No. 59-124 (set hearing date) was read ~om~municatio_n/from the Planning Commission recommending approval of request of the Public ~orks Department to proceed with vacation of Smeltzer .~venue right-of-way as it now exists between the east line of the Santa Ana ~iver right-of-way and the east line of Ranchos Las Bolsas, was taken off calendar. . On motion of Councilman Hubbard, secoD~ed by Hall and carried, the conmunication from the Planning Commission recommending approval of proposed annexation of property consisting of approximately 15 acres located on the nort~ side af Talbert avenue beginning at a point approximately h40 feet easterly of the center line of Harbor ~oulevard and designated "Harbor and Talbert N.E. Annex" was received and filed, khe Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Counci]m~an Hu0bard, seconded by Hall and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 59-122 initiating proceedings br the annexation of territory to the City of Santa Ana, designating an appro- priate nsme of 'Earbor and £albert A~.E. Annex' and giving notice of time and place of hearing protests thereto" and setting the date of hearing on July b, 1959, was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Co%ncilmen l~oes, Councilmen Absent, Councilmen Royal ~. Heinly None None On motion of Councilman ~=u~bard, seconded by Hall and carried, the commu~cation from the Planning Commission recommending approval o£ proposed annexation of property consisting of approximately 94 acres located on the east si~e of Tustin avenue, extending from Oeventeenth ~treet south to a point approximately 540 feet n~rth of center line of ~'irst Street and designated "~ustin and Fourth East Annex" was received and filed. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "~esolution No. 59-123 initiating proceedings for the annexation of territory to the ~ity of Santa Am, designating an appropriate name of 'Tustzn and Fourth East Annex' and giving notice of time and place of hearing protests thereto" and setting the date of hearing on ~uly ~, 1959, was considered and passed by the following vote: Aye s, C ounc llmen Noes, Councilmen Absent, Councilmen Royal h.
