<br />On motion of Collnotlm~ ~O1Ald, seconded by ~1! and carried, the following Ordinance

<br /> "Ordinance declaring the a-nexation of that certain territory
<br /> designated 'Tustin and Fourth East Annex'~"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considered and place~ on file for second reading, without further
<br />reading.
<br />
<br />This being the date set for hearths on the a~-exation of property consisting of
<br />appro~tw~tely 15 acres, located on the north side of Talhert Avenue, beginning at a
<br />point approx~m-tely 440 feet easterly of the center line of Harbor Boulevard, no
<br />protests were received and the hearing was declare~ closed. On motion of Councilman
<br />Hubbard, seconded by Nd1 ] and carried, the following Ordinance entitled:

<br /> designated 'Harbor and Talbert N. E. Annex'~"

<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading, without further
<br />reading.

<br />This being the date set for hearing on the anmexation of property consisting of
<br />appro~fmately 5-5 acres located at the northeast corner of Verano Street amd Hazard
<br />Avenue, c~mmmlcation was read signed by Will B. an~ Charlotte B. Cross, 14402 South
<br />Verano Street, protesting the -nnexation of their property to the City of Santa And.
<br />On motion of Counc~lm~- Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the~protest was
<br />received and filed. On motion of Counc~m-~ Hubbard, seconded by Bali and carried,
<br />the protest was referred to the Clerk to determine the percentage of the value of
<br />the land and improvements in the protest. Hearing was declared closed.

<br />This being the date set for hearing to vacate a portion of an ,m~med alley
<br />south from Washington Avenue w~st of Lincoln Street; no protests were received and
<br />the hearing was declared closed. The Council having unanimously waived the reading
<br />of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried,
<br />the following Resolution entitled:

<br /> portion of an unnamed ~-11ey ~mning south from Washington Avenue"

<br />This being the date set for the continued hearing amending Section 92~0 of the
<br />Municipal Code, Setback Lines established, by repeal~ns paragraph (c), paragraph
<br />
<br />(L) and the follow~ns portion of paragraph (d)"...on both sides, from Flower Street
<br />to the west city limits, ~0 feet from the surveyed center, except that... ". Said
<br />paragraph (~) will then read "d" West Seventeenth Street, on the north side from
<br />Bristol Street west to a point 138.71 feet east of the surveyed center line of Alons
<br />Street, the setback line shall be 1~0 feet north of the surveye~ center line of
<br />West Seventeenth Street, measured at right angles and except that on the north side
<br />from Bristol Street to Baker Street, the setback line sh-~ ~ be 60 feet north of the
<br />surveyed center line of West Seventeenth Street, measured at right angles; no pro-
<br />tests w~re received and the hearing was declared closed. On motion of Counc~]m-n
