<br />protests were received and the hearings were declared closed. On motion of CounciI-
<br />man Hubbard, seconded by Hal 1 and carried, the followf~ Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Ordinance amendf-~ Article IX of the Santa Aha Municipal Code to
<br /> adopt Section~l District Maps 2-5-10, 3-5-10, 9-5-10, 12-5-10,
<br /> 13-5-10, 15-5-10, and 16-5-10, and to amend 10-5-10 and 16-5-10
<br /> to show the establishment and amendment of district classifications
<br /> in the sections affected thereby"

<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.

<br />Communication was presented from the planning Department advising the Department of
<br />Public Works and the P1AnntnE I~p~rtment submitted a suggested policy concerning the
<br />dedication and improvement of property for street l~ses as conditions of approval
<br />of Variances and conditional use permits to the Planning Commission on June 22, 1959,
<br />and requesting the Council to r~view same and make their determination. It was
<br />moved by Counc~lm-n Gould, seconded by Wall and carried, that a Minute Order be
<br />entered into advising the planning Department and Department Heads that the Council
<br />goes on record suggesting the policy as the conditional approval of use permits and
<br />Variances; that the various Deps~-~ments involved be instructed that insofar as
<br />granting of use permits and Variances, that consideration be given to the requirement
<br />that the applicant property owner be required to dedicate and improve property for
<br />street purposes according to City specifications and as the same may reasonably
<br />relate to the use of said property.

<br />to conditions. Mr. Willardson objected to constructing a fence, six-feet high,
<br />along the east side of the property, abutttng the west side of Mr. Julian's property,
<br />approxtm,tely 2~O £eet. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the
<br />Resolution, on motion of OO1A~c~]mAn WAll, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the follow-
