Willardson <br />Reso. No. 59-170 <br />Granting Variance <br /> <br />protests were received and the hearings were declared closed. On motion of CounciI- <br />man Hubbard, seconded by Hal 1 and carried, the followf~ Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amendf-~ Article IX of the Santa Aha Municipal Code to <br /> adopt Section~l District Maps 2-5-10, 3-5-10, 9-5-10, 12-5-10, <br /> 13-5-10, 15-5-10, and 16-5-10, and to amend 10-5-10 and 16-5-10 <br /> to show the establishment and amendment of district classifications <br /> in the sections affected thereby" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />Communication was presented from the planning Department advising the Department of <br />Public Works and the P1AnntnE I~p~rtment submitted a suggested policy concerning the <br />dedication and improvement of property for street l~ses as conditions of approval <br />of Variances and conditional use permits to the Planning Commission on June 22, 1959, <br />and requesting the Council to r~view same and make their determination. It was <br />moved by Counc~lm-n Gould, seconded by Wall and carried, that a Minute Order be <br />entered into advising the planning Department and Department Heads that the Council <br />goes on record suggesting the policy as the conditional approval of use permits and <br />Variances; that the various Deps~-~ments involved be instructed that insofar as <br />granting of use permits and Variances, that consideration be given to the requirement <br />that the applicant property owner be required to dedicate and improve property for <br />street purposes according to City specifications and as the same may reasonably <br />relate to the use of said property. <br /> <br />On motion of Oounc4lm-n Nubbard, seconded by I~,11 and carried, the following ~ariauce <br />Applications were granted subject to conditions, as applicable; and as r~commaended <br />by the Planning Oo~.,~ssion: <br /> <br />Variance Application No. 1 ~29 filed by Roger and Eleanor Eabman to construct two <br />s~4tional single-famXly ,mtts on front part of property situated at 12152 Cmaile <br />Street, in R-1 District, as shown on plot plan, with 60 foot setback lines; <br /> <br />Variance Application No. ll36 filed by Marvin E. Eelsley to increase the size amd <br />reface the front of existing building on property situated at 1608-1610 S--purgeon <br />Street in R-3 District, for professional office, without cha~ging the use of the <br />property; <br /> <br />Variauce Application No. 1137 filed by Van T. Trammel to decrease the rear yard from <br />required 20 feet to 19 feet, for a distance of 15 feet, on property situated at 1918 <br />~riday ~-e., in R-1 District; <br /> <br />Variance Application No. ll38 filed by Eideichi and ~hoke Takeg, m~ to construct <br />two duplex units (9~7 ~ClUare feet each anit) with double gara~ bet~en them, on <br />rear part of the property situated at 11T41 East Fifth Street, in R-1 District; <br /> <br />Variance Application No. 1141 filed by Philip R. Yniguez to construct a single-family <br />dwelling on front part of the l~t on property situated at 14822 Harper Street, in <br />R-1 District, in accords-ce with plot plan; a single-fa~ dwelling exists on rear <br />part of the lot; and <br /> <br />Variance Application No. 1142 filed by Dennis M. Mr. Willardson objected to constructing a fence, six-feet high, <br />along the east side of the property, abutttng the west side of Mr. Julian's property, <br />approxtm,tely 2~O £eet.
