No. 59-211 <br />Establish green zone <br />Marianne Patton et al <br />(Refer Reso.60-1~l) <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hall and carried, the application of <br />the Bolsa Grande Matador Boosters Club to solicit funds in the City during July and <br />August, 1959, was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of CouncJlm~n Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, proper officials <br />were authorized to execute Agreement dated July 22nd, 1959, with the Powerine Oil <br />Company, reference street improvements on Seventeenth Street and Spurgeon Stree$,. <br />On motion of Counoflmmn Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the re~me~t of <br />Walter G. Obering was denied for the establishment of a ten minute parking zone <br />at 927 South Main Stree%. <br /> <br />COuncJlm~n Hubbard nominated Thomas N. McMichael to be reappointed as a member of <br />the Planning Co,.,ission. Councilman Hall nominated E. Walter Steiner as a member <br />of the Planning Commission. COll~¢Jlm,n Brewer nominated Marianne Patton and <br /> <br />Oecil Devore to be appointed as members of the Planning Commission. Councilman <br />Hall nominated Lula Minter to be reappointed as a member of the Bowers Memorial <br />Museom Board. CouncJlm~n Hubbard nominated Warren K. Hillyard to be reappointed <br />as a member of the Bowers M~morial Muse~ma Board. The Clerk cast unanimous bm11 ot. <br />COunc~lm--u ~,11 nominated Charles C. Brisco to be reappointed as a member of the <br />Personnel Board. Councilman Eu~bar4 nominated Donald Hayden to be reappointed as <br />a member of the Personnel Board. On motion of Cou~cilm~n ~, the nominations were <br />closed. Counc~lm-~ Hubbard nominated Glen Evans to be reappointed as a member of <br />the Board of Recreation and Parks. Counctl~ Bre~r nem~na~d Jean Gagnebin to <br />be appointed as a member of the Board of Recreation and Parks. On motion of <br />CouncSlmsn Goul seconded by Hubbard, the nominations were closed. The Council <br />voted on the appointment of members on the Bowers Memorial Museum Board and Lula <br />Minter and Warren K. Hillyard were reappointed; terms to expire July 1, 1963. <br /> ment <br />The Council voted on the appoint~ of members on the Personnel Board and Charles <br /> <br />C. Brlsco and Donald Eayden were reappointed; terms to expire July 1, 196~. The <br />Council voted on the reappointment of Glen Evans on the Board of Recreation and <br />Parks and no appointment was made. Gould moved that in the matter of appointment <br />of a member to serve on the Commission of the Santa Ana Vehicle Parking District No. <br />One, that the Mayor be instructed to write a letter to ~rs. McFadden offering <br />condolences upon the death of Mr. McFadden. The Council voted on the appointment <br />of members on the Planning Commission, namely: Cecil DeVore, Marianne Patton, ti. <br />Walter Steiner ~d Thomas N. McMichael, and no appointments were made. The <br />Council voted on the appointment of members on t~e ~k~t.'~.~f ~Rec~ation and Parks <br />and no appointment was made. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilm-n M~I 1, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 59-211 concerning parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />eetablishing a green zone on the south side of Eighteenth Street between Main Street <br />and Broadway, reference request of Marianne Patton, Inez Curtis, ~eal Estate Brokers, <br />and Carl Nempelman, property o~ner, at llO West 18th Street, was considered and <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E.
