No. 59-215 Additions to Major City street system On motion of Councilman Hubbax~l, seconded by Gould and carried, the petition signed by sixteen residents of Toy Place requesting a speed limit of five miles per hour be established, enforced and posted on the street, was denied. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolutimn, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 59-212 declaring 'Yield Right of Way Intersection'" designating Baker Street to yield to Bishop Street, as recommended by the Department of Public Works, was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A.A.Eall, Bob Brewer, Dale H. Heinly Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolutian, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 59-21B declaring 'Yield Right of Way Intersection'" designating Occidental Street to yield to Cypress Avenue, as recommended by the Department of Public Works, was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A.A.Hall, Bob Brewer, D~le H. Heinly Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 59-21~ concerning parking ltmf~ations and curb m~kings in accox~t~ce therewith" establishin~ "No Parking at any time" on the south side of Central Avenue between Park Drive and 120 feet west of Baker Street, as recommended by the Department of Public Works, was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hall Absent, Councilmen None On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, the affidavit of ~udy Gallegos, President, Gallegos Corporation, Contractor, on the Police Facilities Building, requesting permission to use non-d~mestic steel if the job schedule is to be maintained, and affidavit of Henry Cienfuegos, dba Dowell Steel Company, sub- contractor, ~ the Police Facilities Building, advising there is a real need to deliver such steel to the job site to avoid delay in the construction of the building, were received and filed; that a Minute Order be made setting forth the facts with respect to the shortage of &~,emtic Steel and approve use of other steel, imported but fabricated within the United States, in the construction of the Police Facilities Building by the Gallegos Corporation, in order to avoid undue construction delay.
