EJC:ar <br />5/14/80 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-89 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SANTA ANA FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE <br />COMPENSATION FOR THE OFFICE OF CITY MANAGER <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, EFFECTIVE JULY 7, 1980, <br /> AND REPEALING RESOLUTIONS INCONSISTENT HEREWITH <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That the salary for the office of the City <br />Manager of the City of Santa Ana is hereby fixed and <br />established at Four Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-three <br />Dollars ($4,833.00) per month. <br /> <br /> 2. That said salary shall be paid in the same <br />manner and at the same times as other monthly salaries in <br />the city are paid, and shall take effect and be paid from <br />and after July 7, 1980. <br /> <br /> 3. That the city shall pay to the Public Em- <br />ployees' Retirement System on behalf of said officer an <br />amount equal to five percent (5%) times the compensation <br />upon which such retirement contributions are calculated. <br />Such payments are not an increase in base salary. <br /> <br /> 4. In addition to the salary hereinabove fixed <br />and established for said office, said officer shall receive, <br />as additional compensation, the following employee benefits: <br /> <br />(a) Deferred Compensation <br /> <br /> Said officer shall receive as deferred <br />compensation an amount equal to one percent <br />(1%) of said officer's monthly salary. The <br />amounts contributed by the city under this <br />provision shall be subject to the terms and <br />conditions of the City of Santa Ana Deferred <br />Compensation Plan, and subject further to the <br />conditions that: <br /> <br />i. Said officer shall not have any <br />vested right in the amounts contri- <br />buted by the city until termination <br />of employment with the city; and <br /> <br />ii. The city will pay the total amount <br />of contributions plus any earnings <br />thereon to said officer upon termin- <br />ation, resignation, retirement, dis- <br />missal or death. <br /> <br />(b) Health Insurance <br /> <br /> The city will contribute the following <br />amounts toward the payment of the premiums <br />for said officer and dependents, if applicable, <br />under the existing health insurance program <br />(or a new program providing substantially <br />similar coverage and benefits): <br /> <br /> <br />
