<br />The Manager orally reported that an investigation had been made with reference to
<br />
<br />the petition signed by approximately 49 persons, requesting that the apartment hous,
<br />
<br />at 425 South Birch Street, owned by George Lum, be placed under proper supervision
<br />
<br />as to number of tenants allowed to live therein~ or be declared a public nuisance
<br />
<br />andlicense rescinded; and the Manager stated the owner has agreed to conform to the
<br />
<br />requirements of the Building Department and the Public Health Dep~rtm~nt. On motio~
<br />
<br />of: Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the Manager was directed to
<br />notify the affected persons of action taken, and the matter was removed from the
<br />
<br /> calendar.

<br />The Manager orally reported that a crossing guard had been stationed at Rene Driv~ ~:
<br />and Delhi Road, and acrosswalk has been established on Greenville Street, for-the
<br />Safety of school child~en attending the John Adams School. On motion of Council'm~i
<br />Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the communication was received and filed.~
