Avenue and proposed Fairview Street, a liue 210 feet northerly, measured at right <br />(set hearing date) <br /> angus to the survey center line of McFadden Avenue, from the east line of the <br /> <br /> C-1-PK District to a point 259 feet east of the center line of proposed Fairview <br /> Street; and on the west cf the Northeast corner of McFadden Avenue and proposed <br /> F~irview Street, a line 210 feet easterly, measured at right angles to the survey <br /> center line of proposed Fairview Street, from the north line of the C-I-FK District! <br /> to a point 254 feet north of the survey center line of McFadden Avenue. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., Dale H. Heinly, <br /> Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br /> None <br /> None <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following <br /> c~nications were received and filed: <br /> <br /> From the Planning Commission recomme~ziing approval of proposed annexation of <br /> territory described as an irregular-shaped parcel of land located generally in the <br /> vicinity of the intersection of Paularino and Newport Avenues, and a strip extend- <br /> ing northeasterly along the west side of Newport Avenue to the intersection of <br /> Main Street and Sunflower Avenue, designated as "Newport and Paularino N.W. Annex.' <br /> <br /> From ~he Planning Co~ission recon~ending approval concerning the proposed <br /> . ~cquisition of a school site in western Santa Ana, said site consisting of approxi~ <br />~ mately 22.2 acres, situated just west of Fairview Street and south of McFadden <br /> Avenue. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the recon~endatio <br /> of the Planning Commission was approved, and a ninety-day extension of time was <br /> granted on Variauce Application No. 1083, filed by Farmers Underwriters Association, <br /> to permit the construction of an office building for a regional operational and <br /> administrative office for the Farmers Insurance Group, on the interior area of <br /> property situated on the east side of Flower Street, between Memory Lane and the <br /> Santa Aha Freeway, subject to conditions. <br /> <br /> Communication was read fron the Planning Commission recommending denial of request <br /> for a ninety-da~ extension of time on Variance Application No. 1102, filed by <br /> Laurence Lewis and granted on May 4, 1959, to permit parkinE and sa]~ of new and <br /> used cars and for parkin~ for customers, in connection with automobile business on <br /> adjacent property on Main Street; and also permit use of the property, temporarily: <br /> for nursery business, on property situated at 1~01-O3-O?-11-15-19 So. Sycamore Str~ <br /> R. L. Hobson, lB 36 So. Sycamore Street, stated the owners of the property agreed <br /> to erect a 5-foot cement ~fence, but this has nob been done, and truckloads of tire: <br /> are delivered and stored in the building on the property$ also, there is a loud- <br /> speaker in operation which is very annoying. Councilman Hein~ disqualified him- <br /> self on this matter. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and car- <br /> ried, action was continued until the next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
