On motion of Council~ <br /> <br />man Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance establishing future right-of-way lines along MemOry Lane <br /> and Garden Grove Boulevard between Flower Street and the west <br /> City limits" <br /> <br /> Hearing <br />Establish setback <br />lines Delhi Road <br />and proposed Fair- <br />view Street <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing to establish building setback lines on property <br />located at the southeast corner of Delhi Road and proposed Fairview Street, des- <br />cribed as follows: On the east side of Fairview Street, beginning at a point 210 <br />feet south of the center line of Delhi Road and extending southerly 780 feet from <br /> <br />the center line of Delhi Road, said setback line being measured 259 feet east of <br />and at right angles to the center line of Fairview Street; and on the south side of <br />Delhi Road beginning at a point 210 feet east of the center line of Fairview Street <br /> <br />and extending easterly 780 feet from the center l~ne of Fairview Street, said set- <br /> <br />back line being measured 259 feet south of and at right angles to the center line of <br /> <br />Delhi Road; no protests were received and the hearing was closed. On motion of <br /> <br />Hearing <br />"Berrydale and Trask <br /> N.E.Annex" <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance establishing setback lines along Fairview Street <br /> and Delhi Road" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting oS <br /> <br />66.~89 acres located ~a She north side of Trask Avenue between Berrydale and Laird <br />Streets; the Clerk stated no written protests had been received. The Mayor then <br />esked if any persons desired to be heard and there being none, he announced protests <br />could be filed st any time before 5 P.M., March 17, 1960. On motion of Councilman <br />Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />Variance Appl.No.1259 <br />Lawrence Lewis <br />Reso.No.60-37 <br />granting Variance <br /> <br /> "Ordinance ordering and providing for a Special Municipal Election to be <br /> held in certain territory designated 'Berrydale and Trask N.E.~nnex' <br /> on May 10, 1960, for the purpose of submitti~ to the voters of said <br /> territory the question of annexation to the City of Santa Aha" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Planning Cc~mission recommending approval of Variance <br />Application No. 1259, filed by Lawrence Lewis, to use the property at 1301-03-07-11- <br />15-19 South Sycamore Street, in the R-2 District, as a new and used car sales lot~ <br />subject to conditions. Joseph M. Miller, 1336 So. Sycamore Street, stated he owns <br />two parcels of property on the east side of Sycamore Street and was not objecting <br />to the business, but the fence constructed along Sycamore Street was not in accord- <br />ance with the recommendation of the Planning C~maission. Also, the three driveways <br />on Main Street are not iu use because of parked display cars, and ingress and egress <br />is fr~m Sycamore Street. The applicant explained he was not satisfied with the com- <br />pleted fence, ~1A% increasirg it from the present height of 4 feet 8 inches to five <br />feet would entail considerable expense; also, the neighbors have expressed satis- <br />faction with the fence and have not complained about the north double driveway now <br />in use. M. L. Hobson, 1326 So. Sycamore Street, ~tated the fence was attrsctive <br />and the use of the double driveway on the north end was satisfactory to him. Mrs. <br />Burrows, 1302 So. Sycamore Street, expressed her satisfaction with the appearance <br />of the fence and advised it now cuts off an unsightly view of rubbish from a nearby <br />store. The Oounctl having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on <br />motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolu- <br />tion entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 60-37 granting Variance where conditions were modified" <br /> <br /> <br />
