<br />It was moved by Councilman Brewer, seconded by Hubbar~ and carried, that action be
<br />postponed to the next meeting on the request from the City Employees for option to
<br />renew agreement of Bowl Concession for one year beginning April l, 1960 to March 31,
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, bond in the sum
<br />
<br />of $~8,000.00, filed by Sunny Homes, Inc., for the improvements of property located
<br />generally northwest at the corner of Edinger and Raitt Streets, consisting of 25
<br />lots, in Tract No. 2704, was ordered released and improvements accepted as completed.
<br />On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, bond in the sum
<br />of $45,500.00, filed by Lemon Heights Investment Corporation, for the improvements
<br />on property consisting of 36 lots, or approximately ten acres, and located north
<br />of McFadden Avenue, along the east and west sides of the northerly extension of
<br />Standard Avenue, in Tract No. 3293, was ordered released and improvements accepted
<br />as completed.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, bond in the sum
<br />
<br />of $110,000.00, filed by Fairview Homes, for the improvements on Fairview Avenue,
<br />Lingan Lane, Adrian Way, Edison Way, Dahl Lane, Wilshire Avenue, Townsend Street,
<br />Raitt Street, and alleys, in Tract No. 3356, was ordered released and improvements
<br />accepted as completed.

<br />The Clerk presented her statement reference the petition, signed by 38 property
<br />owners, requesting improvement of Golden %Test Avenue, from the south line of Fair-
<br />view Avenue to the north line of Wilshire Avenue, as shown on Map of Tract No. 604,
<br />to provide for sidewalks, curb, gutter, pavement and grading appurtenances and
<br />appurtenant work where necessary, in Assessment District No. 204, to be constructed
<br />under the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911, and reported the petition was
<br />checked as to valid sdgnatures and percentage of the area, and it was found that
<br />65.22% of the area signed the petition. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded
<br />by Brewer and carried, the petition was received, filed, aud the Department of
<br />Public Works instructed to prepare plans and specifications to provide for the
<br />improvements in accordance with the petition for an Assessment District.
<br />
<br />On motion of Counci]~nan Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the request of the
<br />Department of Public Works was granted to extend the time of completion from January
<br />25, 1960 to February 15, 1960, for the construction of the storm drains in English
<br />Street, from Fifth to Eighth Streets; and 21stStreet% from A10na Street to the
<br />Santa Aha River, Project No. 33.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the claim of
<br />
<br />Easter M. Bryson, in the amount of $35,000.00, for alleged inJurie~ due to a
<br />
<br />fall on sidewalk near intersection of 19th and Main Street, was referred to the
<br />
<br />City Attorney and Insurance Carrier.
<br />
<br />On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, Mayor A. Allen Hall
<br />was granted permission to leave the State, May 9 to May 20, 1960, to attend the
<br />
<br />1960 Annual Conference of Mayors, Chicago, Illinois, with expenses paid.
<br />
<br />It was moved by CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, that the request
<br />of Mrs. LaMuth, 1514 W. 12th Street, be denied, for a "Yield" sign to be placed at
<br />the corner of Pacific Avenue and 12th Street.

<br />It was moved by Councilman Brewer, seconded by Hubbard ~nd carried, that action be
<br />postponed indefinitely, reference protest of John E. Hoff, 1502 No. English Street,
