<br />at Fifth Street, in accordance with request of the Department of Public Works.
<br />Conmmu~ication was presented from the Santa Ana Downtown Association requesting
<br />cha~4~e in dates of the Spring Festival frem April 8th and 9th to April 1st and

<br />2nd, and the closing of the four blocks on Fourth Street, On~ motion of Council-!~

<br />man Heinly, seconded by Gould and carried, the communication was received, filed,
<br />and the Department of Public Works instructed to block off the street on the east
<br />side of Fourth Street frc~ Spurgeon to Bush Streets, and from Bush to Main Streets;
<br />on the west side of Fourth and Main Streets to Sycamore Street, and from Sycamore
<br />Street to Broadway, and that "No Parking" ban be imposed after 6 P.M. on March ~lst~

<br />and the traffic be .~losed from 6 A.M. April 1 to Noon on April 3, 1960.

<br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Gould and carried, the application of
<br />The American Cancer Society was granted to again conduct the annual Crusade for
<br />funds for research, education and service, beginning April 18th through April BOth,
<br />1960.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Gould and carried, the request of the
<br />Manager rec~,ending changes in the 1959-1960 budget, was postponed until the next
<br />meeting.
