<br />conded by Heinly and carried, the petition was received, filed, and the Clerk instr~c-
<br />
<br />ted to notify the Preacher to be present at the meeting of April 4, 1960, for the

<br /> From the Manager reference request of S~cretary, City Schools, advising the
<br />Board of Education acted upon two requests regarding the safety of school children
<br />and requesting safety measures as follows:
<br /> (1) Establish a crosswalk on Washington Street at Custer Street, for the
<br /> safety of the children attending Lincoln School, in view of the recent
<br /> serious accident on Washington Street.
<br /> (2) The painting of the curb on ~/est 2nd Street, west of Flower Street and
<br /> adjacent to McKinley School, to be used as a loading zone for kinder-
<br /> garten and primary c~ildren.
<br /> Frcm the Manager reference request of Principal of Diamond Elementary School,
<br />for additional sidewalks, or a foot-bridge to span the flood control ditch at Wil-
<br />shire Avenue and Raitt Street, for children to go to school without using Edinger
<br />Street.

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of

<br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution entitled!:

<br /> markings in accordance therewith"
