On motion of Councilman Heinly~ seconded by Gould and carried, <br /> <br />the City Employees Association was granted an optinn to renew Agreement of Bowl <br /> <br />Requests <br />Secretary-City SchoolS; <br />Diamond Elementary SCh~ool <br /> <br />iReso.No.60-56 <br />Red Zone <br /> Bristol at 17th Sts. <br /> <br />Concession, beginning April 1, 1960 to June SO, 1960, and all other matters pertain~ <br />to the Bowl were continued to July 5, 1960. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Gould~ seconded by Heinly and carried, action was continuedi <br /> <br />until the next regular meeting on the following matters: <br /> <br /> From the Manager reference request of S~cretary, City Schools, advising the <br />Board of Education acted upon two requests regarding the safety of school children <br />and requesting safety measures as follows: <br /> (1) Establish a crosswalk on Washington Street at Custer Street, for the <br /> safety of the children attending Lincoln School, in view of the recent <br /> serious accident on Washington Street. <br /> (2) The painting of the curb on ~/est 2nd Street, west of Flower Street and <br /> adjacent to McKinley School, to be used as a loading zone for kinder- <br /> garten and primary c~ildren. <br /> Frcm the Manager reference request of Principal of Diamond Elementary School, <br />for additional sidewalks, or a foot-bridge to span the flood control ditch at Wil- <br />shire Avenue and Raitt Street, for children to go to school without using Edinger <br />Street. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution entitled!: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 60-56 concerniag parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />establishing red zones on the east side of Bristol Street between Washington Avenuei~ <br />and 17th Street, as rec~,mended by the Department of Public Works, was considered <br /> <br />and passed b2 the following vote: <br /> <br /> Reso.No.60-57 <br />iiNo Parking-Broadway <br />~ibtn8th and 10th Sts. <br />!!Drive-up Mail Box <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E.
