Rosenbaum, where Planning <br /> Co,,,~ssion recnmmended denial" <br /> <br />and that conditic~ numbered 2 in Resolution No. 60-60 is hereby corrected to read <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />That a block wall ~ot less than five feet high be ccmstructed as follows: <br />(a) On the north edge of the existing drive, come~cing at the west property <br /> lime easterly to a point even with the garage om the abuttiug property <br /> to the south; <br />(b) A concrete wall fence not less than five feet high along the west proper- <br /> ty line with a ten-foot radius at the corner of Pine and Sycamore Streets, <br /> said wall to end ten feet east of the west property line (which is at the <br /> end of the radius). <br /> <br />"2. <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Stanley C. Hall <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absemt, Councilmen <br /> <br />On motiem of Counc~lm*~ Gould, secomded~y Hetnly and carried, the oral regmests <br />of Coumcilmen Heinl~, G~,I~ and ~rewer were granted to attend the Mayors' amd <br />Councilmen's Institute, League of California Cities, ia Berkeley, May 24 through <br />May 28, 1960, and that they be paid in advance $2OO.00 each to cover the expenses <br />of the trip. <br /> <br />Application was presented from Gerber & Company, 311 N. Verdugo Road, Glendale, <br />requesting permit and/or license to furnish plant guards and burglar alarm ser- <br />vices, and stating they wish to furnish guard service, about June l, 1960, for the <br />Collins Radio Company, 332~ Delhi Road. On recommendation of the Police Depart- <br />ment, and on motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, the re- <br />quest was granted to operate a guard and merchants' protective service. <br /> <br />This being the date to canvass voters' ballots cast at the 'Berrydale and Trask <br />N.E.Aunex" and it satisfactorily appears to the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana that notice of said Special ~unicipal Election was duly given and the Election <br />was duly and regularly held on May 10, 1960, according to law. On motion of Coun- <br />cilman Gould~ seconded by Brewer and carried~ the Clerk was ordered to open the <br />Precinct envelope and proceed with the canvassing of the ballots. There was only <br />one voting precinct established for the purpose of holding said Election, consist- <br />lng of a consolidation of the regular election precincts established for holding <br />the last general State and County elections. As a result of the tally, the <br />Council determined and the Clerk declared that there were no absentee ballots voted <br />at said election; that the proposition submitted to the Electors was: <br /> <br />Vic~-~t~e City of Santa Aaa <br /> <br />Shall the territory designated and ( YES ) <br />known as "Berrydale and Trask N.E. ( ) <br />Annex" be annexed to the City of ( ) <br />Santa Arm? ( NO ) <br /> <br />and that there were a total of 108 votes cast at said Election of which number 97 <br /> <br />were voted "Yes" and 11 were voted "No". On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded <br /> <br />by Brewer and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance declarimg the result of the canvass of returns of the Special <br />Annexation Election in the territory known and designated as 'Berrydale <br />and Trask N. E. Annex', and approving and declaring the annexation of <br />said territory to the City of Santa Ana, California" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />On motion of CounciLman Brewer, seconded by Gould and carried, the City Council <br /> <br />adjourned. <br /> <br />' - ClerI~ Of the Council <br /> <br /> <br />
