<br />Communication was presented from the Planning Commission reference discussion of a
<br />letter from the Garden Grove School District regarding proposed elementary school
<br />site located north of Sugar Avenue, west of Newhope Street, and east of Verano
<br />Street, and advising that after a report by the Planning Director, the Con~nission
<br />recommended that the site be approved, subject to conditions. On motion of Council-
<br />man Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the recommendation of the Planning
<br />Con~aission was approved for the proposed school site, subject to conditions.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the communication
<br />from the Planning Commission recommending approval of portions of Sullivan Street
<br />lying north of 5th Street to be vacated, was received and filed.
<br />
<br />Councilman Heinly disqualified himself on the following matters:
<br />
<br />On recommendation of the Planning Department, and on motion of Councilman Hubbard,
<br />seconded by Gould and carried, the following Preliminary Record of Survey Map and
<br />Tentative Tract Maps were approved:
<br />
<br /> Preliminary Record of Survey No. 170, filed by Gilbert R. Gallegos, creating
<br />three lots located on the east side of Evergreen approximately 290 feet south of
<br />Delhi Road, subject to conditions,
<br />
<br /> Tentative Tract Map No. 3561, filed by John B. Kilroy, creating 85 industrial.
<br />parcels located on the north side of Delhi Road between the Santa Ana River and
<br />Fairview Street, subject to conditions,
<br />
<br /> Tentative Tract Map No. 1907, Revised Map ~4, filed by Rosenburg and Young,
<br />creating 78 lots located east of Raitt Street and north of the easterly prolonga-
<br />tion of Glenwood Place, and consisting of approximately 16.5 acres, subject to
<br />conditions, and
<br />
<br /> Tentative Tract Map No. 3769, filed by B. J. Haupert, creating 76 lots located
<br />east of Gunther Street and 250 feet north of Camile Street, subject to conditions.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Map of Tract No.
<br />3714, filed by Fairlane Homes, Inc., for the dedication of To]mad Street and Kent
<br />Avenue, and dedication of 15-foot easement for water line, drainage and sewer pur-
<br />poses on Lot l0 as shown, and bond in the sum of $17,000.00 were approved; license
<br />fee ~n the sum of $750.00 accepted, and agreement covering improvements ordered
<br />signed.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard~ seconded by Gould and carried, the following Maps
<br />of Tracts were approved:

<br /> Tract No. 3589, filed by Harry R. Martin, for the dedication of Wright Street,
<br />Maywood Avenue and Delhi Road, for public use for highway purposes; also offer for
<br />dedication all vehicular access rights to Delhi Road, except at street intersection;
<br />this being industrial property, no bond, agreement, or license fee were required,
<br />and
<br /> Tract No. 3638, filed by Harry R. Martin, for the dedication of Lyon Street,
<br />Maywood Avenue and Delhi Road, for public use for highway purposes; also offer for
<br />dedication all vehicular access rights to Delhi Road; this being industrial property,
<br />no bond, agreement, or license fee were required.
<br />
<br />On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, proper officials
<br />were authorized to execute agreement dated June 6, 1960, with the Delhi Drainage
<br />District, accepting drainage easements and rights-of-way of said District located
<br />within the City.
