<br />to patients and family through equipment purchases, physical therapy, recreation, and
<br />social service, and research in seektng the cause and cure of Muscular Dystrophy and other
<br />neuro-muscular diseases.

<br />On motion of Councilma~ Gould, seconded by Heinly and carried, the request of the City
<br />
<br />of Hope was granted to change their date for soliciting funds from June 5th to May 29th,
<br />
<br />1960, and the Clerk instructed to notify the Organization.
<br />
<br />C~am~nication was presented from the Orange County Ambulance Association submitting
<br />
<br />Resolution and Petition and an Ambulance Rate Schedule effective May 1, 1960, resolving
<br />
<br />that its members will be unable to continue rendering services under existing financial
<br />
<br />conditions. On motion of Counci!~a~ G*uld, seconded by Heinly and carried, the ccmmuni-
<br />
<br />cation was received, filed, and the Manager stated he would submit copies of the Resolu-
<br />
<br />tion and Petition and the AmBulance Hate Schedule to the City Council for their deter-
<br />

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of

<br />Coumcilman Gould, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br />"Resolution No. 60-101 authorizing petition to the Board of Supervisors
<br />of Orange County requesting that property within the City of San~aAna,
<br />California be excepted from the levy of any Orange County tax to
<br />provide structural fire protection"
<br />
